Those ignorant imams need to read page 15 of the book titled, "MY LIFE" which was written by the late Sardauna of Sokoto, sir Ahmadu Bello where he said that Ilorin is a Yoruba town under the control of Alafin of Oyo. The late Sardauna was a Fulani man, and grandson of Uthman Dan Fodio who founded the Sokoto caliphate itself where Alimi of Ilorin came from. Is it not absurd for any responsible Nigerian to still claim that Ilorin is not a Yoruba town when the number 1 Fulani family and authority in Nigeria already said it expressly that Ilorin is a Yoruba town? Again, how can a town which is located inside Yoruba land, and surrounded by Yoruba towns claim not to be a Yoruba town. Ilorin is circled round by Yoruba towns or people of Igbomina, Offa, Ogbomoso etc. Did Ilorin just drop from the sky to be in that Yoruba territory? Finally, it's pathetic for that particular Alfa in the video tape (whose late father was a respected Imam) who had already publicly wrote that Ilorin is a Yoruba town from inception and was actually founded by Laderin. That ignorant Alfa wants to tell us that Ilorin is a Fulani town but the highest Fulani authority in Nigeria already said that is not true.
