I just bought a new TX6. Set it up, worked fine. Used remote to power off and now it won’t come back on. Tried unplugging everything but no lights no display nothing at all. If this doesn't work, try this method that I discovered by accident. Connect power cable and immediately after the logo appears, connect a USB cable to a PC that's turned on. By doing so, it booted but the apps were unaccessible. What I did was, went to Settings and Reset and now it works perfect. I think some files of the OS were damaged or something. Hope this helps. PS: when I tried to push that button (method explained in this video) , it didn't show the logo, nothing.

Thanks for you reply. It was not stuck on boot after all! I had the box connected to my 4k tv and it wasn't showing anything. I decided taking it to another tv and to my surprise it was displaying the setup screen. Crazy! All is fine now. 😊

Hello Mike. I have a Tanix TX6 box with a strange problem, I wonder if you've com across before. It works well on starting. The menu screen is fine with full width picture. As soon as I go to ANY app, there is a greyish bar down the right hand side. It is actually blanking off that part of the picture (picture not shifted etc.). Have you seen this before? Will rebooting back to factory reset cure this? Thanks Brian (Thailand).

I called the people from the app I use for UK TV streaming and they offered to fix it for free if I sent the box to them. It came back next day fine. Then same again a few months later. That time it reverted after a few days. The guys at TeatimeTV seem reluctant to tell me what they do. Could it be the Android version?

hello Mike. i have a Vontar tx92 7.1 -3GB of ram tv box which is the same as you show in the video. my tv box have a problem it stays on boot for a long time and i followed your instructions for a full reset recovery Wipe data/factory reset. after i did the first step it took around 40 minutes waiting and after that came up with some text like. E:failed to mount /cache (invalid argument) E:Can't mount / cache / recovery/ log E:Can't open/ cache / recovery/ log E:Can't mount / cache / recovery/ last log E:Can't open/ cache / recovery/ last log E:Can't open/ cache / recovery/last install data wipe complete etc. etc. after i went to the second step Reeboot system now and after this it stays on boot for ever now i even can't open anymore the tv box. please can you help me with any advice i will be greatful...

Hey Mike - I have the Beelink Sea1. I did an update and somehow lost my HDCP key. I tried to reinstall the firmware but it goes in a continual loop and reboots. It does not give me emough time to get to the admin area before rebooting. I tried the papaerclip on the back 100 x and it does nothing what so ever. Any idea how I can get this thing up and running? I have been trying to reset to factory defaults and am so pissed at it right now I am about to take a hammer to it. Great video. I will try this way. And input would be great.

Hi mike i done the exact process as you did with holding the reset button but the recovery mode screen didn’t show up, it keeps showing me the Tx3 mini logo which it appears and disappear after a few second and it keeps going like that and nothing happens. What can i do?

HI Mike, so here's what i've been through. First i have frozen the Alice UX using SD Maid, then downloaded another launcher called ATV. First i set ATC AS DEFAULT then turned off turn on, then Im stuck at bootloop after tx3 logo.......this is the last activity on the box.....do you know what is causing it? is it becaused i froze Alice UX?

a factory reset will return it to the state it was in when it left the factory unless you have updated the original firmware to a newer version

You may have to find the shorting pins on the ROM itself. I'm not clued up on your particular TV box so can't tell you which pins you need to short. Do you know what chipset your box uses?

Thanks Mike. Just wanted to ask if there are settings to stop buffering and lag when streaming content. I have a 20mbps fibre connection and my TX3 mini has 1GB available RAM (1GB in use), but it still stops and starts quite badly. Any ideas? Do you think a factory reboot and reinstall would be an option?

worth a try, heat might be an issue, and also this is a quite low power box so sometimes it will struggle at higher resolutions

Hi Mike, I have two of these TX3 Mini's and they have constant freezing. I've tried multiple firmware's and I've tried increasing airflow and even pulled the board out of the box so keep it from freezing if it were the result of overheating. Any suggestions or have you come across this as well as a way to fix? Thanks in advance

I found mine work much better wired rather than on WIfi. It is like the extra processing overheats it or something. IF you are using wifi make sure you have a really good signal or it will lock up regularly

@@mikesunboxing Thanks, Mike. I tried both, wired and wifi but same results. I would guess it is just the box but I have two and they are the same. I've also had issue with TX92 boxes in the past so wondering if it's just a Tanix flaw?

I would’ve agreed with this if it wasn’t for the fact that we had the problem with our TX3 Pro rebooting first when it was attached directly and still have the problem since we moved the tv and box to new location with WiFi only. The only thing that worked for one night was adjusting the hdmi CEC setting. Once the box was turned off and back on the problem started all over again.
