For those of you who are confused whether the nichirin is Tanjiro’s or Kyojuro’s, I can assure you that THIS nichirin IS Tanjiro’s. In the manga, (after mugen train era) Tanjiro decides to make changes to his nichirin katana. He decides to use Kyojuro’s handguard in his honor(spoiler alert: because he died in mugen train) and also wants the blade to match the theme of the handguard. The main hilt stays the same, however, the handguard and blade have changed to be identical to Kyojuro’s.

Yeah, completed the manga yesterday.. I felt really happy when Tanjiro asked the swordsman to use that hilt for his sword. Although, after he started using that katana, he focused more on using the fire/sun style rather than the water one.. I don't know man, the ending felt like they could've atleast shown everyone getting married and settling down. Rather, they showed the next future generations.

Very nice work. Wouldn't have thought to use the skin on the blade for the hamon. I made one of these myself. Also, thank God you got it right. The biggest mistake I see with people replicating this sword is having the tsuba reversed (which, admittedly, it should be, since katana nakago are not rectangular IRL, but hexagonal). Rengoku's is set as a stylized flame with the tongues pointing up while stored, while Tanjiro's points down, like a rising ball of fire.... or the sun.
