Hey mate. If you’re still checking this could you tell me what path you took from S2 to get to the jump at F6 or what general path you took through the cave? No problems if it’s a silly question/don’t feel like answering.
@Tpwish422 жыл бұрын
The footage was taken on different dives, so we didn’t find the missing link :). F6 was reached by the usual B12 jump to F1 and continue all the way to F6.

is that small clip / name tag you hooked onto the guide line to show where you and you left the line ? for people to bhetter locate u etc .....

At any intersection you leave a cookie (line marker) on the exit side. This allows you to know what direction to travel on your return. Also placed along the fixed line are line arrows which indicate the direction to travel to the exit. In the event of a silt-out or total loss of light, you can feel the arrow direction.

TMP042 nice practice with the cookies and arrows I’ve heard guys like Mike young say they only use arrows at intersections idk he’s a legend but I’d want an arrow for the exact reason you stated in the case of loss of visibility or light you’d already have your hand on the line so you feel a intersection and the arrow.
@Tpwish423 жыл бұрын
Good idea in theory but not in principle for certain sites. Some caves have more than one entrance and some passages are loops which intersect with through passages. Using arrows randomly along intersections could mislead other divers coming along the fixed line from another entrance in a silt-out. This could ultimately lead them deeper into the cave.

In what part of that deadly cave Agnes Milowka died ? Man, this is spooky
@Tpwish423 жыл бұрын
Nothing deadly about a cave. Not following your training is what causes accidents.
@pieterveenders97933 жыл бұрын
@@Tpwish42 Any idea how she ended up dying, considering she was reputed to be among the best cave divers in Australia? Pushing herself too far and taking too much risks, or the bad luck of multiple mistakes and failures that combined?
@Tpwish423 жыл бұрын
There are old divers and there are bold divers, but there are no old bold divers. Deliberately flaunting the rules and not complying to the safety standards was the sole reason.
