Off the title alone, if he's the pulse, then we are in bad shape. Dude can't pull over 300k PPVs unless he fights a big name, which he won't do unless the terms are exactly what he wants. That's why his fight is getting delayed and they need to have him co-main with Benavides because Amazon isn't gonna watch PBC lose money paying top dollar to a guy who won't fight top competition.

Canelo is not the face of boxing. His fights are mostly and almost only recognized and generated in the U.S. AJ seems to be more global. I traveled around the world and deployed to Afghanistan and Iraq where boxing is watched and those people recognize AJ win lose or draw. As far as canelo, most people in other countries don’t know him at all or remember when he was outclassed by Mayweather in 2013.

I honestly think Canelo a Mexican and AJ a Brit being touted as the face of boxing, really bugs and annoys Americans and especially black Americans. Because of this they constantly try and usher in this new “face of boxing” talk and try making it seem like Crawford or Tank have reached that level. It’s easy to see the forced narrative that Porter, Ward and these other boxing analyst try to push to get people on board. Tank and Bud are incredible fighters but let’s be objective and honest, they are many levels away from Canelo and AJ just in terms of star power. Tank is getting there but not yet. The other thing Tank lacks is competition and accolades.

If Tank is the pulse, American boxing is dead. It’s so boring. No American world champions above 160 lbs. Jared Anderson and Edgar Berlanga had abysmal performances. Tank, Teofimo, Devin, and Shakur all not fighting, let alone fighting each other. Crawford not fighting. Spence STILL hasn’t returned. I think Teo’s best days are behind him, he’s been way too inconsistent since his Kambosos loss. We have yet to see how Haney recovers from his loss. Puello and Paro are on the rise. Matias was exposed. In general, I think the 140 division is in flux. I feel like Tank could jump to 140 and unify with little opposition, that’s how weird the division is

Regis getting tired later in the fight was a combination of him missing he’s punches because Jack is Not easy to hit and him being forced to pick up hes feet because he’s a very flat footed fighter and him getting countered to the body specially the 2nd half of the fight and Jack just hitting him with Jabs and lefts and counters. Regis was Very conditioned this fight that’s the only thing that made him get to the finish line. You can’t go from fighting flat footed guys to fighting fleet footed guys who can box you at range and Not look like a different fighter. Regis’s weakness is he’s Heavy feet and Fighting Non stationary Boxers. Teo has the same problem but they keep saying he fights to the Level of hes opposition which is a Lie.

You could put Ortiz in there but he was Moving Waaayyy too much for me to call him a Good backfoot Boxer. But Teo has No jab and a short Reach so according for him to get close he needs to use he’s Athleticism to jump in. Against flat footed fighters who are not counter punchers it works well and Less dangerous. It’s the total opposite against Guys who have a Good Jab great light on their feet step back and blast him with a Hook uppercut or Straight. You can catch him clean every time. Thats how Kambo Beat him up and had him bleeding out of both eyes and that’s how Sandor schooled him by making him run into one counter after another. It’s he’s Kryptonite.
