Battle City is a video game for the NES (Famicom) and Game Boy video game consoles. The NES version of the game was released by Namco in 1985. Its predecessor was the arcade game Tank Battalion, released by Namco in 1980.
Although the Famicom version was never officially released outside of Japan, a hack of Battle City called Tank 1990 was one of the most common inclusions in unofficial clone multicartridges.
