My sentiments exactly! There was a lot unnecessary agreeing & flattery. It came across as more than admiration

Damn. There are levels to this. Bill Bellamy is a world-class interviewer. This interview was so tight, and hit all of the marketing points yet but flowed so naturally. Would love to see him in a tv late-night gig.

This was a really good interview Bill Bellamy he did make a great analogy when he brought up D'Angelo. There is a difference between the Artist and the whole package, looks, music and showmanship. I always hear different words of wisdom with these different interviews of him. Sometimes you hear interviews of artists when they are promoting their albums and it will be the same questions being answered again and again. I know they are in the industry and know the behind the scenes about the Kelis vs. Beyonce issue with the sampling. I get what they are saying and the point Kelis was trying to make, I saw her ig reel of her speaking about the sample she said at first she wasn'tt going to say anything but then people started to say stuff and she spoke her peace. I agree with Tank when he was talking out Kelis responses; you can't tell someone how to feel. On her end of the whole situation I can see her being upset but then still very unaffected by whether Beyonce puts her on or not. She has long ago left the mainstream music industry and left that superstar life in order to raise her children in a farm environment and pursue her culinary career basically reinvent herself. I like Kelis so honestly I can see what she is saying however if no one really brought it up she wouldn't have cared much because that fame recognition part isn't as important no more. So what Bill Bellamy and Tank was saying like oh this could have been a way for her to be be put on by Beyonce paying "homage" to Kelis by sampling is irrelevant in her case because she chose to leave the mainstream to live a different lifestyle. I listened to the whole Beyonce album and to be honest I did't even hear which song the Kelis sampling was but that's a another topic, kinda breezed through the album. Again a really great interview ! Speaking of R & B legends Bill Bellamy should have Maxwell on his show , such a huge fan and listen to the Urban Hang Suite album heavy !

Bill it's true. You can't have a story for every story of the person you're interviewing. If you want to be interviewed and tell stories, YOU SUPPOSED TO GO ON OTHER PEOPLES PODCAST. See, next time, you go on his podcast or something like that. We love you and your podcast. We know you did MTV. But there is definitely an art to this. Nore is guilty of the same thing. It doesn't hurt to listen to the people who are watching.
