Keanu actually shoots that good in real life, believe it or not. Check out the video of him and Halle Berry learning and practicing their shooting skills for the John Wick franchise. She shoots really good too. And of course Keanu is a long time martial arts practitioner.

Bonus Fact: The security guard who waves Wick onto the airport runway is reading the 1970s thriller novel "Shibumi" by Rod Whitaker, under the pen name Trevanian, also about a retired master assassin dragged back into the game. The story Viggo tells about how Wick once killed three men "with a pencil" is describing a crucial scene from the same novel.

Do you know the J-Pop band Perfume? They're known for extremely precise choreographies that idol groups are basically never able to pull off. They used to have to take… a week, maybe? to learn the choreos their choreographer MIKIKO created for them. Apparently now it takes them a couple of hours. Achieving this took them years, and those choreos don't go over 5 minutes save for about three exceptions. What I'm saying is, Keanu has definitely been training intensively for years if he's able to pull it off. It's not just talent, it's experience. Because I don't believe he's filming action scenes weekly either.

The 'John Wick' films are a kind of mini 'The Matrix' reunions. Just in this film the director Chad Stahelski was Keanu's stunt double on the 'Matrix' films. The doctor at the Continental was a important character in 'Matrix Reloaded', as is the main bodyguard who is watching over Iosef (aka Theon). Another major actor of 'The Matrix' shows up with 'John Wick' 2 & 3. When it comes to doing his own stunts...he trained with weapons for about 3 months (maybe more) before production for this, as well as the other 'Wick' films (which was the same thing he did for 'The Matrix' films). He loves doing the action scenes. Great reaction!

John didn't let Francis live cause he was nice and really didn't care about how much "weight" he lost. It was code for how many guards were in the club, 60, it's why it was in bold letters. He let Francis live because he gave him important information on the situation he was going to face in the club.

Keanu's stunt double had so little to do in these movies that they just let him direct. Seriously, his stunt double form The Matrix directed these films. And Keanu Reeves did about 99% of his own stunts in these movies. There are videos out there of him training. You should look them up sometime. He really is that good.

That's the mozambique drill (also known as Failure drill in America) dude and taught to all special forces of the world and other killers Even in close quarters, head is a small target, particularly when the target is moving. You are likely to miss or just glance the head which allows the target to attack you. So the drill teaches you to shoot twice in the centre mass to immbolize the target and then a headshot to finish them off. When the Mayhem guy askes Viggo what John said and he says "enough" and he didn't have to say anything... Keanu did 90% of the stunts in this and 95% in the next one.... to be fair, John had just fought and killed like65 people. He's not going to be in top shape after getting stabbed and thrown off a balcony...At the end the dog was set to be euthanized, that is why he took that dog.

Management would have been fine with him killing Perkins (Charon even asks if he wants a 'dinner reservation' to dispose of the body). He spared her because she gave him information, the same as he did Francis ('27 kilos' = 27 guards), the 'priest' (opening the security gate), and even Viggo himself (the address of Iosef's hidey hole). The only person he kills regardless is Viktor, who was directly involved in killing Daisy.
