It's nuts to me how many speed modifiers you took instead of health/armor/shielding. I prefer getting lots of tanky modifiers instead, I find it doesn't really matter how tanky the enemies get when you can slow them down dramatically. I think it's also better in the long run because towers gain XP based on how much they attack enemies so you get more free levels from taking the tank modifiers over the speed ones and they feel less punishing as a result. I just finished a Ballista and Shredder only Triple Defense March of the Monsters where I think I had something like 200% health, 80% shields, 80% armor but only like 0.1 speed and 55% slow modifers. Felt pretty good.

Yeah, just went and did a Tesla and Ballista only Triple Defense March of the Monsters where I took health/armor/shield/fortification over speed modifiers for the enemies and it was much easier. My map wasn't even as nice as yours with my "long path" splitting into 2 after only 2 tiles and then 1 of those legs splitting again into 3 paths 2 tiles later. I had something like 80% health, 65% armor, 80% shield and 20 fortification and it was still pretty easy. You just spam fewer towers and upgrade the ones you do put down more so they benefit more from crit per level and don't get penalized as much by fortification. Instead of upgrading Ballistae to level 10-12ish and spamming a ton of them including on +1 ground spots I had fewer on exclusively +2/+3 ground and they were all level 15-20. I used 2 or 3 fewer Teslas also and upgraded them to level 20-40 depending on location. On boss waves you might upgrade a couple of Ballistae to 25-30 and on the final boss once your short paths finish you sell off towers and upgrade Ballistae to 35-40 to cope with the stats of the boss. Avoid speed modifiers like the plague if you want an easier game.
