we've changed it up a bit now: we specify targets for ranged dps to nuke down (usually in pairs). when the beasts spawn we have a destro lock AoE stun them to give the ranged enough time to target and dps their specified beast. killed him both resets so far using that tactic for the adds as well as letting the first 2 people who get the mark die (unless they are super important)

Great video. My guild has yet to reach the 25 Saurfang. We've done the 10 man and up to 25 Deathwhisper. Still working out that fight. I must admit, it never occurred to me that Saurfang could be disarmed. Don't normally think of most bosses as disarm-able. I definitely want to give that a shot next fight. Question: Would it help to have two tanks to taunt off of each other whenever Rune of Blood is placed on a tank? Would that help to prevent healing - particularly for raids with lower dps?

Some of the addons used are. -Sexy map (minimap addon) -Dominos (action bars) -recount (action meter) -omen (threat meter) -grid (the small boxes above omen) -prat (the chat frame) -Pittbull (unit frames, is similar to x-pearl but i find it better) I think the cast bars mybe quartz but don't quote me on it.

there should be a mention of saurfang soft enrage i believe its at 30% or 25% wasnt sure on our kill we didnt pay attention to it. his enrage increases his attack speed by 30% which will mean he hits tank more which means all people who are makred will be taking alot more damage and will cause saurfang to gain for points and cast mark even faster.

My guild was having a tough ttime on this fight last night. It seemed right when saurfang's frenzy comes up (at about 20% since you forgot to mention it) the people with mark of the fallen champion die so fast its almost impossible to heal them

without exploiting the adds by kicking them off the edge where the gunship should be docked, you can put any pushback class behind the tank, let the tank and melee continue cleaving, AoE'ing etc to grab some aggro then use the push back. the ranged should then be able to nuke the adds down before they actually get back to the tank.

@HollanderTheHollowed It's just normal mode. Remember that heroic mode won't be unlocked until the final wing has been been opened. Me thinks heroic Lich King might remain untouched for some time after it's released.

Could a frost tank spec'd into Chillblains kite the adds? That part makes me think of the gluth fight naxx and I did that with a frost spec i had for kiting.

thegreatme, i am also a fury warrior, i have decent gear, about 10/25 ToC rated, but for some reason i can only do around 1.8-2.8k dps. i use your rotation, and have looked at your talents. Im not sure what the problem is. My crit out of combat is about 33%, hit rate is 4.82%, If you could let me know maybe if i am doing something wrong or thats what dps i should be doing with my gear i would appriciate it. Me and my guild are doing this on 10 man. We ahve had beter attempts with 2 tank honestly but when we do them he just gains blood power so fast,part of the reason is the beast. Any tips on them?we have our 2 ranged kite and burn them down but doesnt work to well to kite while theres also blood nova

I don't think there's a mirror, if you've ever seen the visions during the Yogg-Saron fight there's one showing Fordragon trying to resist becoming a Death Knight like Saurfang did.

He has high HP, but is not actually prot. He's in berserker stance dpsing. If you look at recount, he's pushing 7-8k.

@Irgtplay Warriors, especially fury, can hit that hard that fast when you have the top notch gear, talent spec, and knowledge of procs and priority systems.

Ya, it was late, and we wiped 4 times. Gonna try again tonight. We'll see if we can manage to stick together this time. We seemed to fall apart around the 8m hp mark. Might just be a dps race at this point, so we can get him down as low as possible before that time. I think too many marks, and we just bled out.

I guess you mean Grid. It's mostly a healing addon as far as I know

Quick facts: Mark of the crusader can be removed by hand of protection rune of blood: tanks should switch. it's easier. and our tank toke about twice as much dmg while having that you can easily go 2healers 2 tanks 6 dps. practicaly all combinations of healers will work out. but you might loose 1 or more players due to mark debuffs it would be smart to have a druid healer/dps. a holy priest suits very good for this fight. trust me. beast should be slowed (frost trap) and nuked by ranged.

People doesnt seem to know anything about dualwielding melee. You need 24% hit rating to be capped with WHITE swings with 3% talent. 5% with talent for yellow swings (special attacks like slam). You need 26 expertise to not be dodged when you attack behind (and you should stay behind the boss usually). You need 56 expertise to not be parried. So if someone has 56 expertise and 24% hit as dualwield dps, you're doing it WRONG and you are prolly doing 2k dps cos you lost important stats for it.

yea he does get BP from melee hits on a marked tank, he then gets extra blood power from anyone hit by mark of the fallen champion (which is why you should let the first 2 marked people die to buy you more time) also his healing has been scaled up and he shouldn't be solo tanked unless you're ridiculously well geared
