It's september, it's fall - it's Insomnim time. Grab your glas of wine, take a seat in the front of a fireplace / campfire, look out in the beginning night, the sorrounding nature, the sky and think about your memento mori, vulnerability and beauty in the sorrow... 'One life, one chance, all ephemeral' (btw. one of the most moving and yet one of the most 'punchy' Insomnium songs of all time = Ephemeral).

If Winter's Gate is not one of the two albums you have listend to so far, you should really do. it's basically a single song split into 7 parts I think. They labelled it as a "concept album" at the time, and it is a blast to listen to.

The song is not really split in 7 parts, though. It's 1 big track telling the story of Winter's Gate. Streaming services like Spotify just couldn't handle the epicness of that over 40 min track and they were forced to somehow split it up still.

If the video isn't good in my opinion after watching I still left the like there and only remove it if the video is unbeliavable bad. Oh yeah and tip for some people if you have subscribed and "miss" some videos remember to press "alarm" button and change it to "all" that way you get notifications from all videos on that channel. I think just subscribing defaults notifications to "personalized" and to be honest I don't know how algorithm suggest videos if "personalized" is selection

One could say a middle work, or corona time work, and it is still brilliant even in Insomnium standards. They said that they poured their ballad well into this EP, and going back into their normal recipe on next album promised for next year: chaos and brutality and melancholy and mellow sadness mixed together. And there's no better way to wait for that in dark cold autumn than going through this EP.
