There are thousands of Indians everyday who make fun and troll celebs and personalities in the form of videos, comments, pictures etc. on social media. If the law has to be put into force, then all of these people on a daily basis should be put behind bars, because somewhere round the corner atleast one person will get offended to what they say. I don't support Tanmay on the video he made, because it was cheap humour and poor comedy(according to me) , but I also am not supporting those who are knocking the doors of the court in order to jail a person for making a petty, small snapchat video; because if the constitution boasts freedom of speech, they should might as well follow it.

For those of you who wanted references clarified: Section 509 of the Indian Penal Code: Whoever, intending to insult the modesty of any woman, utters any word, makes any sound or gesture, or exhibits any object, intending that such word or sound shall be heard, or that such gesture or object shall be seen, by such woman, or intrudes upon the privacy of such woman, shall be punished with simple imprisonment for a term which may extend to three years, and also with fine. Section 294 of the Indian Penal Code: Whoever, to the annoyance of others; (a)Does any obscene act in any public place, or (b)Sings, recites or utters any obscene song, ballad or words, in or near any public place, Shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to three months, or with fine, or with both. Tanmay may not be the classiest of guys, but neither did he mean for any of the mentioned icons to have heard the insults (posting insults on a platform where the said celebrities don't have a presence) nor did he make them 'public' (it was on Snapchat, though debatable, an app still directed towards keeping messages private).
