Tjank you for this very useful tutorial. I have a question. At [10:38] you check the cell zone conditions. By opening the "surface body", you set the phase as water. Why? The surface body indicates the domain which at the start of the simulation is filled with air. Why in the cell zone conditions you set the phase as "water"? Thank you 😃

Oh then it might be quite tricky! You have to incorporate boiling model, I haven't checked it out yet.

What would you have to do differently if it was a submerged jet? Like if the jet was going through water, as opposed to air.
@TanmayAgrawal75 жыл бұрын
You have to use an additional domain around the jet. It would be worthwhile to checkout my tutorial about a falling droplet, that would be a good starting point.

May I ask if we can get the stagnation region of the impingement from the simulation?
@TanmayAgrawal711 ай бұрын
In my experience, RANS simulations where you’re trying to resolve free shear regions (jet) as well as the wall (stagnation), may not do a great job in both the places simultaneously. But yes, you may get some information. Extract the velocity profiles.

Is it just because air is the one initially present in the domain, so it's primary phase. Isn't it the primary phase needs to be continuous and if so water will be the primary phase right ....?
