I was surprised the cat didn't do better...either time! I expect the ZL1 to hit 0-60 faster but thought the hellcat should have been closer and would catch up or be close in a 1/4 mile. No wonder the cats dive for the exit when they hear me coming for them with 720whp!

Idk why anyone surprised about the Zl1. The zl1 1le is literally a top tier track car that has done well . Has a good power-weight ratio, the 10 spd in the 1le is O.P, and has great aero. The hellcat, and demon are built for a heated surface going 0-60 nothing much more. Real life situations like racing on a street or track the zl1 wins everytime

Not necessarily true….the Hellcat is faster. This race doesn’t do either car any justice. Put 2 drivers on the track that know each car and see how the race goes. Yes the ZL1 is a dope car and I have a Hellcat but I give credit where it is due. And I only say what I say because I’ve raced a ‘23 ZL1 (10spd) in my Hellcat and won….from a roll. Still waiting on my opportunity from a dig

The demon and Hellcat both come with more power than the zl1 1le and as you witnessed in the video when it comes to real life racing like on a non prepped surface the demon and cat don't really do to well. The zl1 is much better for track and street racing due to its O.P suspension and good power-weight ratio. It's alot more than being faster"

@@lieutenantmikeo5979 if we’re talking about turns then we should even include the Chargers and Challengers. They weren’t designed for that. But on a drag strip the Hellcats and ZL1s are a lot closer than this video shows. That’s why I say have 2 drivers who know each car very well then compare. She obviously doesn’t know how to launch the car. Now when it comes to street racing the Hellcat is faster. On turns the ZL1 takes it all day as it was designed to handle that. I know there are plenty of factors that come into play such as conditions, tires, suspension, weight, transmission, etc. but this video is horrible to even compare the 2 cars

Zl1 is at most 500 lbs lighter the hellcat is 4500 lbs ish and the zl1 is around 3800-4k lbs but zl1 has the insane 10 speed over hellcats 8 speed auto

Easy win for the Camaro as it definitely puts the power down better. It has better tires from the factory and the superior Alpha Chasis. The stock tires on the Hellcat are a joke and the car will struggle to put the power down. A better match for this race would be putting drag radials on both cars with good drivers on a prepped surface and the gap between the two vehicles would be a lot closer. This is the first I've heard from someone that their good. They are good generally as a street tire and other purposes but for gaining good traction on a high HP vehicle, no. You've driven or owned a Hellcat with those tires on? It's like driving with an egg under the throttle. You would have to roll into or squeeze the throttle lightly in order for the car to not slip.
