Hey Tanner, not sure if you'll see this, but I just wanted to let you know that I think that's an insanely great lesson for everyone, but especially racers. The way you handled that incident was PROFESSIONAL. Absolutely dedicated and collected attitude and that's so insanely impressive to see from you. @@zacharyradford5552 obviously you're not from PA. I used to watch him every weekend at the local track here before he started on tour with the Allstars. It's what he does, half the time he is a good decent driver but the other half he plays dirty. He would have already transfered if he would have stayed behind tanner but no he threw it in there knowing he wasn't gonna clear him and ended up shoving him which it is not clean racing. There is a big difference between racing hard and racing dirty.

Great job. You have an incredibly mature outlook on the situation and are clearly wise beyond your years. This wont be the last time you're fed a wheel. I'm sure you know that sometimes its done on purpose but most times its just a racing incident. You have a VERY bright future in what ever endeavor you choose to pursue. I have been a Sprintcar racer for over 35 years and I have rarely seen a young driver demonstrate the same level of professionalism as you. Keep up the great work. Years ago this place was paved . then some one got the wise to cover it with dirt . When it was watered there was no place for the water seep to , so running on it was like driving on a mattress the clay just rolled up in front of the tires....Then they bored big holes in it to drain the water and now we pot holes every where look like a flat golf ball.....lol lol....

Porch sitter? You realize DD has gone to Florida, Ohio, and west virginia this year alone? Last year he traveled with the all Stars, went to knoxville and picked up a win in Texas. That's not the definition of a porch sitter. To take 2nd in points when racing against the all stars is quite an accomplishment. How about you get a car, leave your porch and give it a try?

I am well aware of his accomplishments out of state and in state as I am from Gettysburg and actually a fan of his. I also realize his schedule for this year is more grueling than the outlaw schedule. I think when I checked he had 113 races scheduled for this season.

Hope you get to come back next year for ohio speed week! All and all you did pretty good for your first time seeing these tracks and running with a stout group of cars. Also congratulations and mad respect for you keeping your cool under the mishaps throughout the night, not alot of people could be that calm and collected. That being said dont be afraid to hold your ground with some of these guys. I for one definitely think you guys showed that you belong running with these guys. Sharon speedway is a fun track the problem is this area is so prone to bad weather. So many race tracks around the northeast Ohio and northwest PA area but weather ruins it.

Sharon is a really nice place. Used to go there when I was younger with a race team. Nice wide track. How has the crowds been? Was at a WoO race at stateline speedway Thursday and it was capacity. Such a nice time.

Don't Sunday drive with bank robbers. They will push to survive. Been around sprint cars since I was a kid and I have seen a lot. You gotta drive it like you stole it. It only gets a little harder from where you are at right now. Keep pushing you will make it.

You hit the nail on the head. Neither time he was hit, was intentional. They were racing ordeals. Tanner will learn that when racing with the big boys you gotta go 110% each lap. With that being said, very impressive for tanner to come out east and put together some solid runs. The biggest thing gained is experience and knowledge. These boys in the 410s race, and race hard.

Lots of people don’t like him as well. At Williams grove, the whole beerhill gang boos him when they say his name and cheer when he blows an engine or has something go wrong. In this instance I definitely think that was all Dietrich’s fault, but who knows that’s just my opinion

Danny may have had contact with a few cars over his career, but every week he is out there giving it his all to win and pushing the limits of himself and car. A lot of our local drivers drive defensively, which causes drivers to have to take chances to pass them. Now if you wanna talk dirty, I can show you about 7 or 8 videos of Freddie rahmer swerving at other drivers while going down the straightaway.

You are catching on these guys will go for an opening that your regular Sat night racer won’t do and that’s ok. Are you going to come back to the Midwest again this year ? There is Creek County and this weekend they opened the new Tulsa speedway I know they are both having some big shows I think both are 360s unless they run 410 at Tulsa the tracks are less than 75 miles from each other . I would like to meet you and your dad and Carley I wear your shirt all the time and people ask me who you are and I tell them tomorrow’s champion he just needs a little more seat time . Tanner. You've decided that, to be successful, you are going to be more aggressive in the future. Will you be as aggressive on the local tracks in all the categories, or just with All Stars in the 410? For what it's worth I think that you should be more aggressive in all categories. In the future you can always back down the aggressiveness if it's not paying off or giving you a reputation you don't want. NASCAR owners know that it's much easier to tone down an aggressive driver that to make a meek driver aggressive. Aggressive drivers are much more likely to win races.

It's a shame the contact resulted in you missing the transfer. Its easy to see why he made the move. He got the run coming out of 4, and as you said, not being aggressive on your end, committed slightly late, leaving a small gap for him to take the shot. It was a racing incident and hopefully a lesson learned. Hopefully you guys got a chance to discuss what happened, because DD has a lot of knowledge that he will share. Hell at Fremont, he was seen helping 2 different cars that had problems.

You can’t be afraid to ride the cushion that’s where the speed is. But yes those guys will run over you if you’re in the way. But overall you’re doing great

Tanner ran the low line the entire race. Shouldn't that pass have been attempted on the high side? Dude had a ton of momentum and didn't clear Tanner. What could Tanner have done differently? I just don't see how it's his fault at all. But I'm just an iRacer. (Edit, I guess maybe Tanner started his entry a little later than normal. Is that the mistake you are referencing? I just don't know how Tanner could have known someone was about to try and pass on the low side there.)

Pretty sure they were both in transfer spots, but that might be wrong. Remember Tanner can't see behind him at all, so absolutely not his fault. DD was truly fast enough to run the high line like he had the entire time and did after plowing tanner. I don't see why he'd shoot a mach Jesus slider at someone already committing low.

@@cheddydoit0404 there's a difference between driving hard and driving dirty. I can show several local guys here in pa that like to drive dirty. Danny drives hard, and it's what makes having him at a track, an exciting night. For many years I have gotten to watch him start in the back third of the field and pick up many many wins. You can't win if you don't make some risky moves.
