Just a quick note about sublimation on wood: If you are using blanks, such as bamboo cutting boards from Dollar Tree, just sand them first, and then seal them AFTER you put your design on them. Works fantastically! The subli ink does NOT want to penetrate the coating that is already present.

If you don't have a roller. You can place your mat cover over what you want to cut and use your scraper to rub it down. I do it all the time. Works great.

1:35:41 I purchase the FLAT EDGE sublimation tumblers to avoid that awful rounded bottom. I get perfect tops and bottoms every time. I trim the paper to the exact height of the tumbler and tape it without allowing any air pockets at the bottom, top, and down the side seam. Roll the top and bottom on the table to ensure the tape is secure to the tumbler. Then I use something to go up and down the side seam. A year later, you may be already doing this.

For the question about the bird - do not sublimate in the same room as the bird, it can kill the bird, you can't use any thing scented, no Teflon, no auto clean oven, etc. with a bird so the heat press is not any different. my bird is 4 rooms away and I keep my craft room door shut - I have raised and bred birds for over 10 years, but do not have a bird within 2 rooms of a press.

Spray with peroxide and lower heat press but not touching it and it will clear up brown.

If you don't use peroxide it will wear out over time leaving small holes throughout your garment.

If one doesn't have a sublimation printer can you use cricut infusible ink pens to draw an image onto laser copy paper as an alternative way to sublimate?

If the white part turns brownish, lightly mist with peroxide,& place under heat (hover it) press few seconds , it'll turn white again DO NOT PRESS IT

If you have your sublimation printer set up to Mirror every time you print, do not mirror in design space. or whatever program you use, it will cancel it out and won't mirror at all

It's a process, but it is possible

You'll have to use a syringe to suck the ink out of the tank, then flush the tank several times with isopropyl alcohol to clean it out, then replace with the sublimation ink, and run several nozzle cleaning cycles to further flush the system.
