Woah this negativity from these "professionals", she is a talented young artist. Some people tend to make this mistake that covers should 100% mimic the original artist or sung in the same style and it can't be sung in any other way. That's completely wrong, its a cover not a karaoke! And who made it a rule that you shouldn't cover a song unless its sung like the original track? As for those that say there is no emotion, people can internally be hurt without screaming, yelling, crying and televising! These people are just hating because they can't grasp those concepts! For someone at her age to do this cover purely on her own interpretation and work it to fit her voice is genius and I respect her for that. She is purely breathtakingly amazing young artist!

Daisy Henderson Amen! Let's praise the fact that she took a different approach and sounds amazing :) I think that if this was a full on audio cover, people would stop saying she's emotionless. Which I disagree, her subtle hand movements and expressions of her eyes are enough for me. Its like when a person says their fine but they really aren't kinda scenario. Besides, her voice alone brings a certain depth of agony that really substitutes the song more.

I really enjoyed this cover. I see that a lot of people in the comment section don't seem to realise that you're not trying to hit the same notes, or sing in the same style as Sia. Go onto her channel and listen to her Live 02 Covers. Her voice sounds better unedited. Reverb gives the song a more professional echoing sound. She uses a condenser mic, all artists use it. Its just they usually have loud 'poppy' beats in the background to cover it.

Autotune is pitch correction, which would be practically undetectable to us, the audience. And this cover is strongly focused on her vocals, so she probably adds the reverb to make it sound more like she's performing in a large room, which would be the case, probably frequently, if performing live. If you dislike the amount of reverb, that is your opinion. I simply wanted to clarify autotune vs. reverb. Thank you and have a fine day :)

Yes, I see why people say this was a poor choice of song for someone with a more soft voice as you, but in this case, I personally disagree. Your soft voice in the chorus made the song somehow seem "younger". It reminds me of so many young "partygirls", barely sixteen who hide behind parties and any alcohol they can get justso noone sees how broken they feel. It makes the song more fragile and thoughtful in my opinion, and I like this intrepretation. i especially love the switch of your voice from the high chorus to the kinda dark and dreamy lines of "But I'm holding on for dear life" ... thanks for sharing!

This gave Sia's song a vulnerability and emotion that I've never seen. I've seen a lot of comments that this doesn't have the same "energy" or "emotion" as the original. I really like it better than the original because it shows the meaning of the song, that it's not a party song, but a song about desperation and escaping from your problems. Granted, the transitions could be a bit smoother, they sound like they were edited, but overall, beautiful cover, Jas. Nice job.
