Tanzania projects stronger economic growth in 2025

The Tanzanian government expects stronger economic growth this year, with the Central Bank forecasting a 6 percent GDP rise for mainland Tanzania, up from 5.4 percent last year. Zanzibar's economy is projected to grow by 6.8 percent in 2025. The growth is driven by increased investment in agriculture, tourism, energy and infrastructure development and policy reforms aimed at attracting investors.
