08:36 - Planning a safari and prices
The second day of safari starts at Kizumba camp. Next to it there is Lake Manyara where also birds from Europe come and spend winter. We will spend this day on travel to Serengeti National Park. To get there we will have to drive a part of Ngorongoro Conservation Area (we will explore Ngorongoro at the end of our trip). Once we are entering a park's gate tarmac road is finished, however an adventure starts. We are passing green hills and woodlands. On slops we can see Masai villages and next to the road Masai themselves. These are the only people that have right to live here. It isn't to spot a few animals and even large hers on the way. The road connecting Serengeti NP and Ngorongoro Conservation Area is one one of the most interesting we have seen on our safari.
Before we started a safari I have spent a lot of time to look for it. Therefore I am going to share some information how to plan a safari in Tanzania in this video.
Our trip to Tanzania took place at the beginning of January 2020. We spend 2 weeks in Tanzania for safari and Zanzibar island later on.
Planning a safari is a huge and expensive task for everyone who directed his holidays to Tanzania. To give you some idea about it I assume the cost of a safari i something between 150 - 250 USD per day per person. Once you decided to spend so much money you would like to make sure every piece of your trip is well planed. In this movie I will try to share key information and show how a safari in Tanzania looks like.
The safari we booked was regarding 4 days and 3 nights in Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro. This included a budget option of accommodation (tents) and private tour (only we 2 in a car - the capacity is up to 6 person)
