Not citizenship, but residency(you dont have to leave the country). Most countries, you wait 5 yrs for citizenship. Tanzania is 10 yrs.

Hi Thank you for this information ! - i have read mixed information about the single entry visa and now i am a bit confused. Can I ONLY stay for up to 30 days and or can I stay 90 days from date of arrival ? I am german citizen and my partner is british.

@Nancylarkins Hi thank you for your comment. On a tourist visa or if you are visa exempt, you can stay in Tanzania for up to 90 days. You can get further information from Tanzanian Immigration here is a direct link to their website eservices.immigration.go.tz/visa/guidelines

I will marry my tanzanian fiancé in Tanzania and would like to stay there. I have already checked for visas but I am quite confused and found as well the multiply entry visa. But can I apply for the Residence Permit C, as well? Or is only the multiply entry visa possible?
@InspireForTravel3 жыл бұрын
@anna If you are a citizen of the United States and have an American passport, you will need a visa to enter Tanzania. You could consider applying for a multiple entry visa first, this will be valid for 1 year. If you decide to marry a Tanzanian Citizen then they can support you towards getting your residency in the country.

@@InspireForTravel thank you for answering me. I am from Germany. But nevertheless, I need a Visa. Is there anything where I can get more information? The official website of immigration to Tanzania doesn’t really work unfortunately
This information is still not clear.. if your coming from the Caribbean, you can only stay for 90 days, when you go to immigration after the 90days What are you applying for ? Because it’s not a visa if your Caribbean.. what is the fees if any ? Is there fees you must pay to stay longer as a Caribbean?
@InspireForTravel3 жыл бұрын
@Intuitive Empath If you are a holder and travelling to Tanzania with a passport from one of the Caribbean islands that are allowed entry and stay in Tanzania for 90 days, this privilege is for touristic purposes only. After 90 days in theory you are to leave the country. However, if you have valid reasons on why you need to remain in the country, for example for business, study or voluntary work purposes etc, then yon can apply for an extended visa or other permits which you will have to pay for. More info on this here: eservices.immigration.go.tz/visa/guidelines

@@InspireForTravel thanks for your response.. if you’re coming from the Caribbean and traveling to Tanzania, do I automatically get a 90 day visa free of charge ? Or you don’t get or need a visa being from the Caribbean ? You just enter.. I was just a little confused because if you don’t get a visa on entrance because Im Caribbean, How would I get a extension for a visa I did not get in the first place entering as a Caribbean?. Also could you answer the question on the fees for a Caribbean to extend stay or visa ? I’m just trying to gather up all the information I can before traveling myself.

@@intuitiveempath8988 It depends on the passport you are travelling with. NOT all carribbean island are visa free. So check the link I sent you to see if your island passport is visa free. Check the link to enquire on visa extention and prices.

tourist Visa is for 90 days, can be extended. Max is one yr, then you need to leave the country, but you can always apply for another tourist Visa, the cycle goes on. people can go to a neighboring country,stay few days in that country and comeback with another tourist Visa, you only have to leave that country to apply for another tourist Visa
