Many humanitarian workers worldwide have faced layoffs due to President Trump's closure of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), the primary source of humanitarian assistance. VOA’s Paul Ndiho spoke with Eric James Shigongo, a member of Tanzania’s Parliament and Chama Cha Mapinduzi party member, for an analysis into how the loss of critical funds in the healthcare and youth empowerment sectors will affect the country.
