Haters gotta learn their history. Tao grew up on a river in norcal, doin loops at like 10. No one was sending this stuff back then. The nomad was the boat of choice, cutting edge and still relevant to this day. Haters that have no kayak vids...👎

@@JohnS-er7jh mine only for few years tho, because i am afraid of kayaking sharp scrapy runs, and also i dont kayak as much as i would wanted but when i go for rock slides or rock ledge boofs, they are always somehov over some tiny sharp rock 😥😥

There’s these two guys named Aniole and Dane running stuff similar to this in 2022 and making it look easy. Still, somebody had to do it first and it wasn’t pretty, that’s for sure.

@Gabriel Deschênes élève yeah dudes cocky, but you’ve never met him...known the guy personally for most my life, he hooked me up with all my boats, dude is one of the nicest guys, and whether you think he was good or not, he ran some of the gnarliest drops in kayaking, that will never be ran again cuz no one has the balls for it.
@TKM113703 жыл бұрын
@@canyontritt4488 Actually, I can. Look at Dane Jackson who runs some mental stuff but always looks in control. I am glad Tao retired as he was only going to kill himself if he continued. Dude was like a cat with nine lives..

Yeah, out of all the socially awkward kayakers that there are (as much time as we spend in the woods and sleeping onthe ground) this guy takes the cake. I have literally never met anyone that couldn't talk about themselves so much. He comes up to my armpit and his attitude stinks about as much. I wish he would take up rally racing, or maybe look into being a race horse jockey!

Freakshow. I'm sorry, but I'm not seeing alot of padding here, if any. What I AM seeing is alot of out of control bouncing, skipping, scraping, and reacting to the effects of throwing oneself down steep drops and slides. Not much skill, but lots of raw stupid courage. Stupid because Tao is going to kill himself someday if he keeps it up. His over confidence will be his downfall.
@SteepVisions8 жыл бұрын
Reacting to out of control bouncing IS a skill.
@huckwhisenhunt49406 ай бұрын
Back when these guys were at it they didn’t have all of the boat tech that we have the nomad is still relevant boat on that I agree but only to a certain point. if anyone is running the stuff that he did today they have a modern creek boat with a high rocker profile and more of an edge. The boat that he uses the dagger nomad is a round hull with little/no edge and it’s slow that’s why he is reacting instead of being proactive and to hit the lines of some of those rapids and drops with that boat is very impressive the guy has mad skills and is a legend in the sport in my opinion.
@b5yuwu6726 ай бұрын
Its not that eaay to paddle down a slide... And "not much skill" is a stupid take.
