Tapasya episode 61 - The legacy of SDN (concluding part)
With the 61st episode of Tapasya, we conclude the discussion of contributions of promising students in the last 3 decades of SDN. As more and more committed students swarm the institution, SDN is now home to many young and aspiring artistes.
Time writes History, and it is Time alone that decides the course of future. Surrendering to that Supreme power, SDN's lineage shall grow on and on in times to come...
Tapasya - the training sessions, is a series of videos that will be published on a monthly basis (as episodes) on the last day of every month.
The students featuring in Tapasya series have about 6-8 classes every month. Each episode of Tapasya is a cumulative overview of what is taught to them during the course of the month.
Along with the training sessions of the children, Tapasya also holds inputs on teaching techniques from Smt. Sheela Unnikrishnan and useful tips from the regular performers of Sridevi Nrithyalaya.

Our social media team, assisted with a legal team, watchfully works in curbing audios/videos of Sridevi Nrithyalaya that have been used in unauthorized way and uploaded in social media. Though we do not put up copyright declarations in all our videos, we strictly adhere to legal formalities and procedures regarding copyrights.
We honestly work hard and spend a good time and amount of our resources to produce our music and dance videos. They are produced and uploaded in our social platforms solely to take our art to all those raiskas around the globe who are unable to reach us in person to enjoy SDN's art live.
It is not about 'misuse' or 'trying to support' our dance and audio productions by just giving credits. Art is for all for sure. Our productions uploaded in social platforms are for the art lovers worldwide to WATCH and ENJOY but definitely not for copying or reproducing without SDNT's authorisation.
SDNT has unanimously derived to this strong conclusion. Therefore, SDN or any individual from SDN would be not to able to grant anyone permission to reproduce our work of any form.

Time spent in watching Tapasya series is Time well spent in learning new facts and figures. I am sad that this series is coming to an abrupt end. But I am sure that the new presentations by SDN will continue forever. 🙏🍀🙏

The DASAVATARAM is my favorite if all south Asian dance. Not only is the poem absolutely exquisitely profound, but the movements are stunning. How wonderful to see even a small fragment of reclining Narayan on Sheshya together on the undulating milky surface of the eternal sea of Being. Harinie's point about Mrinalini being a baby who now towers above her couldn't stop me from thinking about their mother and child relationship. In SKV presentation at Nadaneerajanam TTD, Mrinalini as child Krishna was Yashoda's (Harinie) son, and cut to 5 years later, in the Panguni presentation of Shadaksharam, Krishna is Parvati and Yashoda is Murugan. How time changes everything, really.

Namasthe Ms. Padmavathi. Kum. Vishnupriya was not a regular solo performer but she has done various roles in almost all of our dance dramas and other productions. Smt. Sheela felt she will fit Padmavathi's role in our Srinivasa Kalyanam better than others, she performed well and earned good accolades. She has now taken a break for pursuing her studies. She has always been a very dedicated, hardworking and sincere student that SDN will always cherish.
