I currently work for the city of San Antonio print shop, twice a year. We do 500 books, each book is 480 sheets of 20 lb paper and you would imagine the tedious and mind numbing duty of having to punch these things... through a conventional punch binder and then hand collating them. This is something I will definitely look into purchasing.

so it melts the narrow binding "whatever" onto the page edges? the older ways of truly gluing a binding became brittle, cracks and pages pulled away. if this is type of hot-melt glue - whatever it is, it looks fantastic.

Hello! Basically, yes. The binding strips (available in three different sizes: narrow, medium, and wide) contain an engineered glue that adheres to the grain along the edge of the sheets of paper, locking them into the strip, creating a permanent bind. We have some books that are still in great condition that have been on the shelf for 30 years (bound with the original Fastback Model 15)! Thanks!
