Very bad idea to solder directly onto Lithium batteries! The heat can melt/damage the insulating separator foil inside the cell, as well as boiling the electrolyte and causing venting from over-pressure. It's OK to solder (quickly) onto welded tabs already on the battery. However, the casing of the battery is a huge heatsink so you need to dwell a long time to get enough heat for solder to melt. This causes the damage to the cell. Much better to spot weld on bare (new) cells because the duration is far shorter, so less heat gets inside the battery cell.

Bhai, the device you have made is really great, I have tried it at home and I have created the same for myself, but there is one information is missing in your blueprint of design for the connection of the timer circuit " a jumper need's to be set between GND & GNT_T of that module then the trigger mechanism will work else it won't work", please rectify in your Design properly and publish once again the blueprint.

You made a mistake in executing the welder machine. (I made the same mistake.) The red and black wire are very thin and reduce your current from the transformer . That's why the weld is weak. Double those wires and you'll get a strong weld . Yesterday I made a video demonstrating this. (this mistake.) I put a 6 mm wire in the transformer, and at the output I have over 600 A . But since I put 30 cm of 3 mm wire, the current dropped to 350 A. I will upload the demo clip next week .

For those who want to make this tutorial, let me tell I made it. He misses some important things and I really dont know how the hack is working for him when clearly the board is missing a connection for example. Anyway, I made it and the welding is not strong. He says 3 turns of cable but I recommend 4 if posible with 6mm cable. I used 6mm wire with 3 turns and the same transformer. The copper heads are from old battery spot welder. The welds now are not strong. I will try to change the cable with a 6mm and 4 turns and see if the welding gets stronger on 0.15mm niquel plates.

Your transformer is too weak. You should use a long timer to solder the battery cell, the soldering points will burn and not be secure. I built it the same as you, the primary transformer only uses about 180 volts and the secondary coil uses wire over 10mm and combined with a 0.01s timer, the welding is very solid. You can refer to my channel for more information

Good spot welding cannot be done with 3 Volts. Because the voltage is low, you have to extend the time. 0.3 seconds is a very long time for spot welding. If you keep the time too long, you will burn and deform the nickel strip. Instead of folding the cable in half and wrapping it in 3 turns, wrap it 6 turns in a single layer, so the voltage will increase and you can make a much better spot weld by reducing the time from 0.3 seconds to 0.1 seconds.
