I really enjoy the new monument cards. I feel it helps to balance the first player advantage. Beautiful game with top quality components.

I enjoy that the landmarks benefit the player(s) going last. It always feel like there's a huge advantage of doing first in Tapestry.

My favourite is the landmark cards, for all the reasons you mentioned plus that they slightly mitigate the advantage of being the first player

I’ve just bought a copy of Plans and Ploys. Looks like the great game becomes even better! I hope that there will be more expansions. Maybe with new technologies with ongoing effects or affecting rival civilisations

Thanks for getting Plans & Ploys! We do indeed have another expansion planned; it will release later this year.

Hey Jamey! Can you talk about your decision for high quality products when producing your games? I have your games next to, say, Terraforming Mars, and it’s clear that your vision is different than many others in terms of production quality. Could possibly be another video topic! Thanks!

Thanks Andrew! One of the great things about tabletop games is the tactile and aesthetic nature of them, so I figured from the beginning that I wanted to try to use high-quality components in our games. I have a few videos on the subject, the first out games in general (kzbin.info/www/bejne/iZezd5h_g5ymmNE) and the second about our games specifically (kzbin.info/www/bejne/ppanpax-i9-nnKc).

@@jameystegmaier Thanks so much for the high quality response as well! I’m looking forward to more videos from you and I’ll go watch those right away! I also left you a comment on Wingspan regarding your migrating birds. I “houserule” it the unconventional way but I’d love to hear your opinion on why my way (detailed on the comment) isn’t intended. Take care, Jamey!

@@AWarner1690 Thanks! Yes, I replied to that comment yesterday after you posted it. There isn't really a "why" to it--Elizabeth designed the mechanism the way it is, and it playtested well. :)

I really like the new landmark cards (as well as the monolith space tile and the arena tapestry - anything that gets more landmarks is good!). I just wish there had been one more, so that it would always be possible to deal one more than the number of players and the first player would also get a choice rather than just be stuck with the leftovers. Because specifically the Urban Farm is tough if you don't get one of the civilization that starts with bonus territory tiles - you never want to have 6 territory tiles in hand. The new trap-like cards are cool as well, even if I might feel that Stolen Plans is too brutal (maybe if the opponent gave you a tapestry of their choice? Because this way it could very much wreck someone's day). But I have a rules question about them - do they count as traps themselves? By which I mean, can you use Stolen Plans on Surprise Party, or maybe even Double-cross their Stolen Plans?

I agree that one more would have been nice, but it would have increased the cost/price of the expansion--we'll add more later. :) Plus, it's good that there are slightly different difficulty levels on those cards, which makes the draft meaningful. The new cards are not trap cards, so you can't do as you described. I know they feel like traps, but they only actual traps have the word "Trap" at the top of the card. :)
