Honestly thank you for this video. Very good info in itself watching. Don’t know if you do but a second video up close and explaining some of the process would be amazing.

I would have loved to have a bit of explanations of what's happening, why you're doing this or that, etc. Thanks for the video!

ok, I understand tapestry. I am confused when you, with the dark brown, go one warp up and down, and next warp up and down about four times. Is that a knot, or a soumack? I see Egyptian weavers (tapestry) also do that, and than it's beaten down. what please, is that? thank you. nice video. I love the yurt

I am going back and forth tightly between two warps to make a thin vertical line.

@@northstarhomesteadfarms8731 doesn't it become a slit?
@northstarhomesteadfarms87314 жыл бұрын
@@vickistone3700 It does. The method is actually called slit weaving. After it comes off the loom, I stitch the slit closed on the pack side with matching thread.

Where do you buy the loom with the pedals?
@lauraberlage70912 жыл бұрын
This loom is made by a company that no longer exists. However, there are other loom makers out there. Leclerc's Gobelin tapestry loom can be purchased with foot pedals, and it would actuate much like this one does.
