I'm about to turn 33 soon and all I can tell you is: things get clearer after 30. It's like a switch in your head. Of course not everything is solved but you'll feel more in tune with yourself. And you've already achieved so much: you've lived abroad by yourself, you quit your job to pursue your passion. You're putting yourself out there on KZbin for everyone to judge. Like, wow 🔥 you're so strong. Keep believing in yourself, you're doing great ❤

Thanks for the hutang vids and sharing your journey of being alive. As a 56-yr-old American, I would note that my experience is that adulting is mostly looking like one knows what-is-what. And that there are as many right answers to what-is-what as there are people on the planet. As a 33-yr expat, I'd note that home, a sense of belonging, is where you are in place and time at any given moment. For me, that has ended up being right here, right now, in this moment. Great vids - and congratulations on hitting 50k subscribers! Have a great day!

hahaha it's so funny to see everyone stopping and staring at you filming wherever you go- people are more curious there than where I live. Even if someone was doing something very strange, where I am from it is considered very rude to stare. I like that you go with the flow!

that’s such a great perspective to look at it!! yes, sometimes people are just curious! it’s gotten so much better for me these days but I used to get even more nervous when I see people stare. But it’s actually not about me - they just want to know what’s going on!

What I have learned as a fellow creator on KZbin is you cannot judge yourself when views are down. It’s all technical in most cases sadly our thumbnails may not even show up on a subscribers feed. I have had that many times before and it can be frustrating. Your videos are so inspiring and I watch it every time it’s on my feed. So, keep your head up and remember to not be hard on yourself. You have a beautiful and wise soul and meditating will keep you closer to that wisdom.

"what do i like?" is a question i also started asking myself not so long ago at a similar age, and i have found myself feeling frustrated not being able to answer it. but it's okay. and it's a good thing that we have started asking ourselves, isn't it? I just started watching this video, but I feel like it was just what I needed to hear. I'm in forced emigration, before I really didn't understand or imagine how migrants feel in my country - and now I'm a minority myself, and I look different from the locals, and now I know how it feels. Now I know. It really was a privilege to feel like I belonged (at least outwardly, because I looked the same as most people around me). Here now, I always feel like people can see - I'm a commuter. And I also feel like I could be deported for any mistake, even though I'm here legally and I'm not doing anything wrong. It was so important for me to hear from you about this feeling.

I turned 30 about a week ago. Come to think about my 20s, I've spent a lot of time worried about whether I will figure out my career direction and rough blueprint, wondered who I want to become and what I want to experience and do for myself. Guess what? I have been clearer with what I want to do and what I don't want in my life; I am more confident and self-assured, wiser a little bit and more resilient and accepting of things gradually. You will somehow figure it out as you go along the journey, maybe it's gonna be in your 30s if you're in your 20s, and if things don't go so well in your 20s, do know you'll get there, trust me and trust yourself.

Yes, 麻薯 is called mochi in English. But we call anything from Asia that’s chewy and made of rice mochi (except if it’s from Korea, then we call it rice cake) 😂 There is a Cantonese pastry I grew up with called 糯米糍 and that’s called mochi too. Then there’s a Taiwanese/teochew/malaysian one called 麻糍 but we call that mochi too. A lot of people even call 湯圓 mochi. There is no limit to what you can call mochi in English as long as it’s sticky and made of beat up rice…even though Japanese people have different words for other types of mochi (like dango or daifuku) people will probably call it mochi lmao
