Here's how I think chicago has some better features: the neighborhoods are prettier, it is cleaner, it is more affordable despite having an amazing world-class art and music scene. NYC is great though and I love it too. It's a hard decision to make. If I was from nyc I might say something different.

@ReturnoftheBrotha I changed my mind. You are right honestly. But it still comes down to personal preference. Being cleaner is definitely a factor that could make a city better for some people. NYC is more energetic, cosmopolitan, and has great arts and culture. I agree it's objectively a better city and Chicago can't compare. But a lot of people prefer Chicago because it's more affordable while offering a lot of what NYC offers. When I lived there, I didn't want for anything. There was great museums, culture, food, diversity, music scene, festivals, fun. In NYC, more is offered. I'm just saying I think Chicago is pretty great too.

Yes Chicago is a wonderful city dude and you will see. Tons of things to do downtown and along the lakefront. Amazing boat tours and museums. Great shopping district called the magnificent mile. You will find everything there. Check out the view from atop the John Hancock observertory as well. I go to this city every year and it is wonderful. Forget about what the news say about this City. All the crime happens in a section called the Southside of Chicago, not downtown. Make sure you bring a good camera to you can take amazing pictures at night my friend. The views are just stunning especially at night.

I am from Cleveland. I have never been to Chicago. From what I see in pictures and videos. Chicago has the most impressive skyline in the U.S. There is something about the city scape that looks so well put together. IMHO not even NYC can compete with Chicago in terms of design and lay out. Chicago looks way more impressive in my book.👍
