We must always give back when we take. I gave back to the birch tree last year by pouring houseplant fertilizer around it. And the sap that spilled out of the collection bottle, the ants were very glad to take.

We,bengali people, people from West Bengal, India, get this kind of juice from palm trees and date trees.. It's taste is heavenly.. it's a sweet which we can't make mixing sugar or jaggery.. it's so subtle, extremely refreshing, rejuvenating 😊

It tastes exactly like fresh coconut water out of a green coconut. At least the coconuts of east coast of Australia. It also matures the same way. It's a wonder that different tastes and other qualities of plants exhibit themselves on the other side of the world in a completely different plant.

It’s much better for the trees to gather sap from the end of a branch. Clip off the end and hang a bag or bottle there. Doing it straight from the trunk exponentially increases the chances of an infection leading to the tree’s total death. It’s much much easier for a tree to wall off an infected branch than the trunk. And you still get the same amount of sap
@TasmanianDevil321 күн бұрын
Wrong. Birch trees will seep for a few days then heal over. Obviously if it's excessively tapped then yes, the possibility is there, however as done correctly as it is here it will cause no infection whatsoever. Applying a blanket statement makes you look like as ass
