Tara McDonald - BBC - Hommage to Vera Lynn - "We'll Meet Again" !

In 2005 I was approached to perform on a TV special honouring World War II veterans and the iconic Vera Lynn. I sang her hit song “We’ll Meet Again” in front of Vera with the BBC orchestra. Vera Lynn was a true forces sweetheart and is legendary in the UK and she worked very closely with the charity CSE (combined service entertainment). I’m so grateful the BBC picked me for this role as I not only got to meet the wonderful Vera Lynn but we had a connection as I had also performed for CSE during peacekeeping and during wartime missions. Hope you enjoy this tribute to the lovely Vera Lynn.
