Excruciating period pain that makes you vomit is not normal my dear. I have endometriosis so I know the deal. We’ve been told all our lives that women are just meant to suffer, but I know factually that what you’re experiencing is not normal. Please get yourself checked out. Birth control only masks it, so I understand why you don’t want anything unnatural in your body, and as ab athlete of course. I can’t bear to see women suffer like I have. You’re incredible for pushing through it like only a woman can. 💪🏽Xxx

I get sick just like Tara. and being an athlete myself, I don’t have endometriosis. There are certain things that I can’t eat while I’m on my period. So I avoid these particular foods. You go out there and you get them girl and thank you for bringing to light about being a female athlete and things that we go through, especially cramps. Congratulations I’ll see you in Paris !!!
@sichovin69763 ай бұрын
even the other poster isn’t wrong. Most extremely painful periods are linked to endometriosis/PCOS. Glad it’s not the case for you but it is usually the case.
@ninamuthoni96513 ай бұрын
I wonder how female athletes handle periods when they are competing. Like do they get injections to delay the periods? I also don't like the smell of eggs when my periods are approaching. I can even smell them in baked goods.
@lilpotato202 ай бұрын
My doctor told me vomiting was unfortunately common. Prescribed Diclofenac. My sister with PCOS was prescribed hormones to regulate periods. Never birth control. So glad because I hear so many horror stories of teen girls' physical problems getting worse on it.
@lisarl57912 ай бұрын
@@lilpotato20 vomiting is not normal. This is part of the problem, as many doctors are just not well enough informed. But you can do your own research into menstrual health conditions , endo etc, and you’ll see. Also, hormones given for menstrual health condition are generally always birth control too. Even without oestrogen, they are still birth control hormones. The other hormone they give cause early menopause. There just aren’t enough non hormonal options, but surgery helped me with endo, however, I’m on my second surgery. All the best to you and your sister. X

Tara, I coached Track and Cross Country for 20 years. I had a boy undefeated held all my jumping records and at the Tennessee state championships his senior year. He scratched on his first two jumps. If you have seen me in my picture I am a paralyzed vet. So my coaching has been done as a quadriplegic. I grew up in a track family and was offered to run at Oregon but became a Green Beret in the Army. But back to the state meet with Adam. I was on the track in my wheelchair and coaching Adam. He and a boy from Memphis who later ran at Kentucky and later ran in the Olympics. I told Adam after his two scratches. To relax and take a good clean conservative jump. The Kentucky Coach and Tennessee coach were beside us when I said this! Me being me attracted a-lot of attention. Adam hit the board and jumped 24’8”. The Kentucky coach turned to me and said. Thats conservative? He ended up 2nd behind the Mitchel High boy? But good recovery at the trials, that was nerve racking, I could tell you were a bit off, wasn’t sure it was a tail wind. But it was a female thing. I could tell many of stories about girls and dealing with life. Your impressive and makes me proud to see you perform and my admiration for you ladies. Kick a- in Paris! Hook um! After watching this video even makes me admire you more and your accomplishments. Congratulations go USA❤
