I’m grieving post election. As a boomer I’m feeling the passing away of the “Great post war liberal consensus!” - a kind of death of a tribe I felt membership in. And you are so correct that it has left me feeling surrounded by the “other(s)”. As if we no longer are a part of an understanding family. - a stranger in the company of strangers. And you were correct again that it may also be clear evidence that there is an imbalance in our over-consumption of news/media. Jon Stewart said the media juggernaut is designed to produce and potentiate outrage. I believe I am caught up in this too. So I will re-capture a renewed mindfulness practice on the one hand and abandon media attachments on the other. Many thanks for helping me recover. You are a helper.

You're a boomer? And you voted for Team Bush/Cheney? Examine what made you think Trump was a racist Hitler, when Israel doesn't recognize him as a Hitler, and the blacks and Latinos don't think he's a racist. If he's Hitler, then why did the Dems say a day later that they would have a peaceful transition of power? If he's Hitler.... How do they just give up like that and say "Good game?" If he is a threat to Democracy, then why did Biden say this proves the elections are legitimate? I think people in your "tribe" need to re-examine your allegiance. All of the war mongering neocons ended up in your tribe.

I have decided to clean up my language. Words can trigger because they often carry with them whole bags of meanings and feelings, experiences. Words like 'Democrat' or 'Republican', 'Christian' or 'Muslim'. They are so laden, they trigger immediate emotional responses. When asked what I voted or what my beliefs are I have begun to answer with 'Love and Wisdom'. Period, nothing more. Often that opens the path to a real conversation without thrown up defenses. Thank you for your video, it is really healing.

Dear Tara that was the most touching and I would say for myself live changing meditation I have ever heard. And it touches me to the ground of my soul heart body and feelings. The last hours I felt lost overwhelmed and and afraid , sad and resignated about the election and what happens in the world. I'm from Germany and I really feel what's going on although it is far away. And I was searching for help, someone to talk to, and a place to let my feelings show. But I couldn't find. Now I found it ! Your words spoke to my heart and I will keep it wherever I will go. I thank you so much. Now I know I am not alone with that. That's a refuge. All the love to you , for us , america and the world ❤ sending from the city of unity , Berlin, Germany

Tara - your teachings, your being has saved me more than once. This time is no exception. There's a line from the series "The Crown." It says "one normalizes the abnormal and becomes accustomed to living in the madness." It was in reference to the world's obsession with Princess Diana, but the words hold true now. Up until this election, the popular vote showed that millions more always voted on the side of hope and progress. This election shows millions voting for something I simply don't understand. I sought your words and teachings because I don't want to "become accustomed to the madness." Thank you so much for being there.

Thank you, Tara. I felt like I was spiraling and the Universe brought me your KZbin video. I hope that, in this very turbulent time, you will continue to share your gifts. I do understand the need (sometimes impossible need) to be open to the “others”, and I have tried to do this for almost a decade now, but now I understand that maybe instead of leaving my heart open I simply need to keep my eyes open to observe the suffering of the masses of their own self inflicted trauma while guarding my shredded heart. I think this familiar journey we are about to embark on again may be for some to experience and some to observe. I will not save them from their lessons. Maybe that is why we find ourselves, yet again, on the precipice a great trauma; because people with beautiful souls intervened to save people who were meant to learn from it. Not everyone should have access to me or my heart.

Thank you. I consider myself to be a frequency holder. And yet I realized the night of the election that all I was capable of holding was the pain of the Present and seeing my dreams broken. I had great hopes of a healing nation that were shredded in reality. Sitting with the pain and facing it is a new strength for me. But I could see no Higher Power in the events of the night of 5 November. And that realization brought fear. So I sat with the fear and pain and despair I was experiencing in the Universe. The ability to be in the Present to hold the overwhelming despair, pain, and fear gave me a sense of purpose ….. a sense of Radical Acceptance. I learned this skill from your writings. Thank you.

Sometimes I feel the some of the spiritual teachers I listen to are detached from the day to day fears and anxieties of these times. If these are indeed transformational times, we will feel that energy and fall into the fear of the unknown. So at times I will go to the news to get information and lately more often, I am going to spiritual teachers like yourself to help me cope with my fear of the unknown shifting we are experiencing. So thank you for your humanity, your authenticity and your wisdom in these strange and rapidly changing times 🙏🙏🙏

There is now a moment for many to discover the futility of hope and its dynamic action of progression and the suffering caused from effects of hope
@BrianBentley-zl6xv20 күн бұрын
Among this dynamic, if one asks for suffering and chooses to not eat donuts for a month, then one was satisfied without suffering or donuts for a month. It's what we didn't choose that is suffering and one must land in the left hand path without choice, because the choice was right and easy. So the path of left comes upon you as weight when seen as a different road on the shoulder of a single head. Soulbilbo

The politics, academics, religion in a prescribed fashion which induces false positive and passive aggressive behavior which are not active in the surroundings as on time application, this dynamic is in the mind of one sided hyperbolic function and missing the obverse from not being centered among the exaggerated sense of singularity being expressed three ways at once
@BrianBentley-zl6xv15 күн бұрын
It would graph on a flat plane as hyperbolic orthogonality and if the center of origin is a word, such as, now, the exaggerated expression from within the moment is beginning, end ... Read this in The Guardian today " It’s true, the US has never been quite the shining beacon of its own imagination. On the international stage, it has frequently been belligerent, bullying, chaotic, dysfunctional and indifferent to the suffering of people in faraway nations - traits that bear some passing similarity to Trump’s leadership style. But it has also, for more than a century, been the standard-bearer of a certain lofty vision, a driver of strategic alliances between similarly advanced democratic nations intent on extending their economic, military and cultural footprint across continents." The last paragraph is also not completely accurate - The US has allied with and promoted several Autocratic countries. While I respect your work and have in fact followed your work, I think the reality is different - it is all shades of grey - not only now but in the past too......
