They’re both anthropologists, not just Becky’s character, Bua. Freen’s character, Phin, just did loads of field work while Bua prefer lab work. They had the same PhD supervisor until drama happened and Phin left and Bua stayed. Then they reunite at the plane crash a few months after they’ve both achieved their PhDs and have to work on the case of helping identifying the victims. I believe all this is the same in both the book and the pilot. However, just in case you were interested, in the book they hated each other while they were students rather than dated and its more enemies to lovers. But for the pilot they’ve changed it so that they dated and the storyline is exes to lovers. The book also had the mummy skull as shown and a story line around that but no supernatural element, so no creepy mummy walking towards them or anything.

Apparently, there's another speculation going on. Fayeyoko, Freenbeck, Englot and another couple are doing a mega project together. And these are 4 different mini series but they gonna colab. The stories of 4 sisters from what I gathered. Just like blank and Gap but this time we gonna see them together. It's gonna be mega project and for netflix and bigger platforms as well. Dr. Busaya Methinthorn Bua/Bai Bua/Bua Loy Ph.D (Becky Character) Dr Phinya Thananon (Freen's character) They are so cool ✨ And I really wonder why everyone who reacts to the cranium always says Becky why are you silent, why don't you help. Becky's character here is different from Uranus where she can do actions or Becky in real life who can do it with her boxing skills, Becky's character here is a scared, smart, bookish and sleepy girl. the author of the novel Cranium said, Bua was a sensitive person but her sensitivity was replaced with intelligence (nerd) that she herself didn't even know she was smart because she continued to think she was weak. In the story, he seems doubtful but he replaces (hides) his doubts by thinking about theory before making a decision with an academic attitude. The weight of this story really lies with Bua because she is placed as the main character in the storyline.

They are both anthropologists but specialized in different part of the antropology, and Phinya (Freen) was the one that was sent on the field more by their teacher and Bua (Becky) is more like a lab geek . They were both sent to the plane crush by their techer who trust their intelligence and skills to help the police identify the victims. But in the novel they didn't have a love story in the student era, they were very competitive with each other and hate each other. It was on the plane crush that their feelings change. The novel was more focus on the crime and not so much on their relationship and I understand the need of the series to change some parts and for us to benefit from their chemestry, I am not so kneen about a walking mummy, althought I've watched some supenatural series in my life, I would keep this one more natural without super, but it is the director choise. I hope they will keep at least 2 parts from the novel that for me were very important: the issue/problem that Bua has and the reason why she was staying more in the lab, which Pin accept it and diddn't make a fuss about it and the second one, the part when Pin comes back to help the crime scene and comes directly from the airport to the Bua's lab. It will be air in 2026, at least this is what they are saying now.
