Hello Madam Kurma is mainly coconut based n saagu will have other main ingredients other than coconut. But I have seen in some hotels they call saagu n in some other kurma My observation, in karnatka we call saagu ( ingredients slightly different) and in TN n Kerala they call Kurma ( here they use coconut as base with mild other ingredients) Thanks

Everything is fine but you soak poppy seeds for two hours in water & grind. We do this type of grinding by traditional stone grinding.

You can skip coconut. And since you are adding cashews you needn't add hurigadale also. Hurigadale haakidare swalpa husharagi nodkobeku. Thala hattutte.

Very nicely shown recipe. I also add knol khol, seemebadanekayi and sometimes cauliflower also. But vegetables are our choice. It is easier to grind poppy seeds if we roast them or soak them. For garnish I use only coriander leaves as we don't like the raw smell of pudina on a cooked dish. All these are small options. Thank you for a nice video.

For saagu no cashewnuts but karma cashewnuts is a must.Some add puttani to saagu.
