For competition _"maybe"_ aftermarket parts like this Timmey trigger will help *_a little._* But marketing aside: For CCW/concealed carry or even regular self-defense save your money and/or put it into training/practicing at the range to learn your gun & it's trigger. I have seen people who actually train and shoot their guns in stock condition beat the pants off of folks with tricked out guns. *_It is not the tool, *_it is the man_* that is the _game changer._
@john-paulsilke8933 жыл бұрын
One million percent true. But for a range toy or competition it can make a huge difference. But absolutely you have to first be good enough to take advantage of that improved trigger press. This is especially important if you own and shoot multiple different guns.
@sweetcostarica3 жыл бұрын
@@john-paulsilke893 As I said, within the small world of competition & "showing off" your tactical toys at the range. This trigger may work _"a little." It is not what average people need or is necessary for CCW or self-defense. This is in reality the after market trying to make more money period. Question that I will look up *_JPS:_* How many competitions have you been "good enough" to win with the Timney setup? I know the answer: ___none._____ God bless brother, nice try John-Paul Silke. @@john-paulsilke893 Exactly, thank you for being honest. Here is some truth people do not want out: - the gun industry is *only* about making money by promoting expensive hunting events, competitions of all kinds, & selling anything they can think of (from grips to sights to bra holsters). - certain accessories do enhance your performance in being faster & more accurate. But they only help a little as the man/woman who practices, trains, & is the 1st at the range/last to leave will almost always win. You have everything you need to win any battle, *_ANY battle_* inside you. Here is another point of view on all these salesman pushing aftermarket stuff: 1. If everyone used the Timney aftermarket Glock triggers... Who has the advantage? *_Answer:_* No one they cancel each other out. Timney Co. & the salesman - they are the winners. Laughing all the way to the bank. 2. If everyone just bought a good stock gun & learned how to shoot it well by practicing/training... Who has the advantage? *_Answer:_* The consumer by saving a lot of money although he/she has a stock gun that may be .0003 sec. slower on the lockup &/or .003578 sec slower on the trigger pull - *_no one noticed and you still won the fight in competition or on the street._* A few aftermarket parts & items are good (night sights, holsters, & so on) but barrels, triggers, lightening cuts, etc. are unnecessary. Put a stock *Norinco NP29* in _Jerry Michalic_ hands to shoot & then have him shoot a customized *Norinco NP29:* will there be a *_noticeable_* difference? Somethings to think about. I heard that some Glocks with after market triggers will go off if you drop the weapon.

Lot of legwork to get to the point of doing that in CA. If you’re in bed with Hollywood or the State of course you could. And tag removed. 👍

I love my Glock but am hesitant to alter the trigger past polishing. Glocks have been tested for safety to the moon and back BUT that's with a factory trigger. I often carry my guns so this would be a no go on anything except a competition gun.
@Rob_Nasty3 жыл бұрын
The Glock trigger IMO feels better then most factory triggers. I love guys who buy $150 Glock trigger. But don't even train 500 rounds a year. And that's a god damn baby number.

@@Rob_Nasty 100% agreed. I run 16/17 splits in my stock Gen4 G19 that I carry 100% of the time. Not hating on anyone but I cringe a little when I hear kids talking about their Gucci Glocks they’ve never fired.

@@VState60 I hear yuh, but many in the community view guns as pieces of art, too.. similar to how the cowboys and shit carved images/patterns on nickel(or whatever kind) plated revolvers and what not, you know?.... long as they're responsible, I don't mind, glad to have everyone possible in this amazing community. 👍🍻

@@crackerjack6454 exactly. Those armchair cowboys make our guns and equipment cheaper but buying it. Even I’m a small fry and I usually shoot a dozen or so events per year and fire 200 plus rounds per week, (last week was well over 600rds most of them .22’s but 100rds were .38 Special in my 327 S&W competition revolver. (I just picked up a new 617 S&W and wanted to shoot it to failure, 160rds before it gunked up due to tight tolerances. I cleaned it and shot it again to failure and it almost locked up at 170rds so I have my answer).

What is the best trigger pull weight for a concealed carry firearm?
@RadDadisRad3 жыл бұрын
Personal preference, most people say a heavy spring. I have a 3.5# trigger. My wife has a 4# trigger
@HAYAOLEONE3 жыл бұрын
Depends if there is enough room BEHIND the trigger to slide your finger when crawling running and jumping. The lighter the better, IF you don't do 'reflexive shooting'. 3 pounds is a norm. So below 3 pounds might be better for lots of people.
@anonypersona31893 жыл бұрын
I'd say 4-5 lbs is norm. Keep in mind your trigger weight (difference of a few pounds) won't matter much in a self defense scenario. Better to have a 4 lb trigger pull than a 2 lb trigger pull solely for safety purposes.

One of the best shooters in the game. But I feel like he’s very cocky they way he presents himself in the videos. No matter what I say, he’s a damn great shooter! I wish he can do tutorial videos

When you’re good you can be cocky. No one humble ever made a platform for themselves without a edge of cockiness or competitive nature.

There is a very fine line between cocky and confident. Sometimes confident people come off as cocky. Ready it’s just are egos are getting in the way.
