Most beatbox sounds have inward and outward versions, meaning you can (with training) make lots of the sounds breathing in or breathing out. With planning you can keep the beat going without many pauses for breath. Improver and Helium are both getting new exposure thanks to the new Russian/Taras school of beatbox -- heavy reverb to avoid looping, with brilliant post-production audio engineering (echo/delay/panning/EQ/gating). It's really advancing the art and opening up new audiences and genres.

I wonder if beat boxing is what happens when you grow up poor and can't afford to by that fancy keyboard/synthesizer you always wanted? Honestly, I'd think that would be very exhausting to try to do this for any length of time...like 2 or 3 seconds.
