It’s not as if they couldn’t sing before it’s just that with Tik Tok there is a platform for them to be heard. Instagram was too big to showcase all of them but tik tok is perfect because it’s medium sized allowing more voices to be heard.

Yeah, I think it's easier to learn the basics of singing now, with the Internet and so many available resources (I finally started taking singing lessons too last year, from Tara). And it's very likely that there were many talent people before too, but now because on the pandemic, they post their talent on social media and people spend lots of time online and find them.

That African-American girls voice is absolutely stunning, amazing, marvelous, wonderful, fantastic, and fabulous. I definitely think you need to hear Claudio Sanchez - A Friend to Enemies (Hyatt Hotel Session). Its a beautiful acoustic piece and Claudio has such a distinct soothing voice in this. He's the lead in a rock band called Coheed and Cambria but this is a soft departure from that style. Its an older video, but well worth the listen and critique.
