Just didn't realise how much Mike Barson is doing in all of the Madness songs, he really is the backbone to most of their success. What an incredible pianist, and might I add, very good bit of footage watching him explain the complexity of the song, especially the middle solo part, its bordering on classical piano. Just after this video came out I commented here about the mistakes on the graphics & I made a tutorial video showing the correct notes Mike plays on this video. Music is so bad now, Madness would blow them all away today if they started as a young band in this era as their music is timeless and still relevant.. They had 17 top 10 singles as they put out hit after hit after hit.. They truly were like a conveyor belt for hits and they had the most amazing melodies which is the most important thing to have in a song.. And Mike Barson shows us all that with a little bit of hard work and the right attitude a band can go a long way.. The man is a truly gifted piano player and it was his drive and song writing ability which saw the band get so much success.
