How to disable purple logo splash screen on Benq Monitor (GW2270)

1. hold the menu button while the monitor if off, and while still holding the menu button, tap the power button while STILL holding the menu button until the screen turns on
2. select the menu option after the screen has turned on and you should see a different kind of menu
3. navigate to the "logo" option and switch it from ON to OFF
4. turn off the monitor
5. press and hold the menu button and the power button at the same time until the monitor turns on and you should get the old menu back
6. the purple benq logo splash screen should now be gone

Really nice and concise video, Tarek. This worked for my G925HDA. With regards to getting the old menu back, I did press both menu and power button at the same time, but I pressed the power button slightly before the menu button. That did the trick for me.

Amazing thank you for this. I've tried this on the Sw320 and it works a treat. For my model, the way to return to the normal menu settings is the exact same way to enter the service mode. So just one button long press and power on. Super grateful!

Benq EW2440ZH Service Menu. This model has 6 square buttons placed vertically on the right-bottom-back side. Call them 1 - 6 top to bottom. No.6 being power ON/OFF. To access service menu. Press 6 to Power OFF. Press hold 4 and press 6 to power ON. Press 4 again. Service Menu will appear in the center of the screen. Use 1,2 to navigate. Use 3 to choose/set. Use 4 to exit Service Menu. Example:- How to disable BenQ purple splash screen on startup. Press 2 to go down to 'Logo'. Press 3 to enter. Press 2 to navigate horizontally to 'off'. Press 3 again to set Logo to 'off.' Press 4 to exit.

Worked on BL3200PT, although the menu buttons are not physical but the combo is the same. Just the last part is a big different. To bring the old menu back on BL3200PT press and keep holding the power button and when the monitor is on touch the menu button and hold until all touch buttons light up, and the old menu's back.

Good to know about this. I would have looked on how to disable it but I read a lot of complaints about the purple logo splash screen of BenQ monitors. Makes zero sense, especially when you turn the monitor on at evening or nights.

Thanks to this video i now know how to do it on philips monitor :) u just need to hold AUTO(1st) key + Menu key and with them holding together u need to press power on when the monitor is off. Then monitor will turn on and OSD menu will have "factory" option that wanst there before. In the simplest factory menu u can turn Philips "LOGO" OFF. It is sad philips wont mention it in the manual... Anyway thanks for giving me ideas :P

If you’re on the xl2411 you need to hold the second button from the left (down arrow) and tap the power button, wait for the monitor to turn on and let go of the down arrow button, then you tap the “options” button or the 3rd one from the right and you should see a blue menu.

Benq EL2870u or something... menu+power to get the "logo" menu... just do a power cycle with nothing else held to go back to regular menu. thanks for detailing this! i don't mind splash screens and logos... but that glaring purple is not the most attractive choice.
