More great tips. I always look way ahead when driving a car...but it seems much more challenging when racing on a flat track. I'll work on the drills you suggested, and breathe...breathe...breathe

A great topic and something that I find myself constantly working on in all of my riding. The saying of “Look where you want to go, not where you don’t” would have kept me on the track on more than one occasion. As you say, when we are pushing the speed and are reaching that 100% concentration level, it doesn’t take much to disrupt our mental balance. A missed shift, another rider passing closely on a narrow line, a newly discovered rough section of the track that disrupts the suspension, engine failure, etc can all be the trigger for losing one’s intended concentration. It’s something that I’ve found becomes easier to process with the repetition that you mention of putting yourself in the scenarios and thinking your way through them, as opposed to panicking through them. It’s a continuous process that never stops. Thanks for another stimulating topic 👍
