Sir, in ques 48. Increase in crude oil prices may lead to increase remittances only if oil companies are employing more people. In an event of supply cut, which is usually the reason behind rise in crude prices, there would be layoff of workers and thus remittance would dwindle. Plz clarify. 🙏

Yes, even in share of remittances, US contributes the most i.e. 23.4% (source PIB) which will be affected by higher crude oil prices. Indians living there will have increased expenditures and less money for remittances. Correct me, if I am wrong somewhere.

Sir , Higher Crude oil prices might also reduce the inward remittances to India because : 1.It will rise the petroleum price (inflation),thus by increases the Standard of living thus by reduces lower inflow of remittances into india 2.Reduces the export competitiveness of that country oil by looking alternate Nations like OPEC+( like India shifted to Russian oil from gulf countries

Q 52. DOUBT DOUBT DOUBT - Sir kindly address this Sir you have taken into account the reaction of the feds etc to higher inflation. By that logic when rupee starts to depreciate, rbi will conduct forex swaps with banks to slow down the fall of INR thereby restricting exports. BUT we did not extend our logic for statement 1. The entire subject of macroeco is based on the idea of achieving equilibrium. It is very easy here to travel in the circle of logic. When there is higher inflation globally, it is here when the money supply is high. At the same time, as explained by you in previous sessions, if the inflation at home is lower, demand for our exports will increase. Only when the rate hikes begin to control the inflation we would see a dip in our export numbers. Had the option been “increasing interest rates globally”, it would definitely be correct.

Q.53 Sir, rupee appreciation will lead to cheaper imports because of the purchasing power of rupee increasing this in turn will lead to higher imports. And increasing supply of dollars 💵 will lead to appreciation of Indian rupees. So I think the answer should be ‘b’, 3 and 4 both.

If after issuing masala bond if rupees price appreciated borrower could purchase more items from the same amount in compare with amount when he borrowed but due to returning amount after interest he could not use opportunity cost so that after all he will be in the loss .is this correct sir please explain.

Sir Q 57 if rupee appreciation happen than the investor when they converted the rupee in to dollar will get benefit right? for eg. if current value of 50 rupee = 1 dollar ,if rupee value appreciate and 20 rupee = 1 dollar than investor will get more than 2 dollar for 50 rupee which seems investor earn more. please help im so confuse. thankyou 🙂

In Q.52 regarding decline in Indian exports, can't we say that if there is higher inflation in Global markets ( due to Cost Push Factors / Supply Chain Disruption due to Pandemic ) then Indian exports would increase to fill in the gap left by other Exporters ? Also, if there is high inflation won't Indian businesses prioritise exports over domestic demand ?
