@@66NOI773H Well, as mRNA vaccines have only previously been used on viruses (such as COVID, rabies, & other serious illnesses) & are now being used on bacteria is interesting. Maybe this can lead to a plague vaccine that can be used on rats, ground squirrels, prairie dogs, & other mammals that carry plague. Vaccine could be placed in bait, much the way rabies vaccine is distributed to wildlife such as foxes & raccoons. Hopefully this could lead to a real reduction of plague in the wild as fleas would have fewer host animals carrying the bacteria. Plague is hardly forgotten. There are cases in the US every year. Madagascar had an epidemic in 2013 & sees deaths from plague every year. And plague is still lurking in rodents in Asia, Cent. Africa, & S. America also. Plague has been one of the top killers of humans throughout history, so any advances on eliminating its threat is of interest to me. And it was presented in a straightforward, clear manner.
