Love your videos man I just got one question, at the bottom of the shell where the bp is does it need to be strong or does it explode when lit and the tube does the job by directing the gas upwards which propels the shell

Thanks! No, the lift cup can be anything that will hold the BP. It can be in a plastic Baggie and taped over the time fuse if you wanted to. The tube is like you said, it projects the shell via the gases. That’s why the shell needs to be a snug fit, but not too tight.

I launching a mans ashes with 6" shells, my shells weight 48 oz, would 5 oz of black powder be a good lift amount?

I do 10% plus a gram for my 3 inch shells. My timing Is 2.5 seconds. Haven't made anything bigger. Don't really have a good place to do it where I live. I'd end up in the neighbors cornfield lol.

You could use that but hot glue is quick to dry, and no mixing.
