Bruh, Cane had been experiencing ego deaths for the whole series from being under Monet, to Monet going to Tariq and listening to him more than Cane, to killing Detective Ramirez and realizing in the long run of things, he made things worse planting Ramirez's badge in Tariq's dorm and Zeke having Ramirez Emergency contact card, to Monet kickin him out of the house for pushing her in her own house, to Lorenzo valuing Dru over him, to learning some lessons about the streets from Mecca that Lorenzo never taught him, to finding out his cousin/brother Zeke was actually the oldest of the sibings technically, even down to Effie turning him down when she was about to get locked up, and even in their short relationship later on. Cane's finally seeing the ego harvest from all that underdog treatment. By working for and protecting Noma, he's finally receiving the approval and validation he yearned for, blind to the fact that working for Noma is just working for another Monet.

This is crazy cause there was a theory that tied towards Ghost controlling from behind the shadows, along with Tasha, and Tommy being in on that from the day (theoretically) ghost knew that tariq was gonna attempt to kill Ghost the night at Truth club. To force Tariq into the choices he has made today. Maybe to show that if Tariq wants out of his life he needs to become the man Ghost was in the past.

I totally agree...I said that on one of these videos..before we even saw the first episode...the look on his face was him stepping all the way into the game ...and I believe that is how season 4 will end...also I don't believe Tasha will die..

You touched on Cane experiencing an “ego death” his perception of self. he felt he was never good enough for his mom/dad and killed it by showing Noma the “man” he is. Showing value as a partner, taking the lead on addressing Zion verbally and physically. Walking out with his chin up and continue to show his evolution.

Cane character has always been - starts the season at a low point, gains some respect/power to ego, fucks up in some way and finally has an ego death. Szn1 up then down. Szn 2 starts down then up then down. Szn 3 starts down then up then down again then up. Szn 4 starts down then up; ep 6/7 Cane gonna have an ego death when he finds out Davis fuckin Noma. Ep 8 he gonna think he up by killing Dru. When he realizes killing Dru was mistake, he gonna have another ego death Ep9. Canes redemption arc in ep 10 maybe. Smokes Noma maybe.

I think this is because Tariq is the new Ghost and Brayden is the new Tommy, then Cane is the new Kanan, who is the arch enemy of Ghost. While he's not the highest ranking or most powerful villain per se, Kanan is the over all 'big bad' of the entire Power Universe (Breeze would be the 'bigger bad'). None of the other villains lasted as long as him, none of them had as much personal history with Ghost and none of them played a role in the over all events of the series the way Kanan did. He is also the most successful villain, as despite he is dead, he's still behind the events of the entire Book 2 in a way as he's the one who corrupted Tariq and turned him against Ghost, thus his ultimate revenge plan succeeded. So in the same way, Cane is the over all main antagonist of "Book 2". He is also the most ruthless and evil of all villains and also he's the only one of the Tejada siblings to not have a proper child hood flashback. This could be because Cane has absolutely zero redeeming qualities and they want to ensure he is seen as a complete monster. I guarantee you he will be the one who takes out Tasha, as in order to live up to the role of final antagonist, he has to do something truly personal to Tariq. And it doesn't get more personal than murdering his mum and possibly also his sister. Some of the villians have some sort of morals, such as Ghost. They don't kill civilians, women or children. Cane, Tommy or Kanan have no such boundaries. Let's be honest, if push comes to shove, Tommy would not have hesistated a second to kill either Yaz or Kash if they were to be witnesses to their mothers death, but doing so he would have been irredeemable to the audiences. Cane can do this because he's a villain, not a protagonist.
