This game is a ton of fun! I play ff14 wow gw2 and a bit of eso. It fills a different gap and doesnt force me to play non stop. Definitely enjoying it and people are hating on it without even playing

Guild Wars 2 - Legendary gear is the same exact thing as ascended gear. Ascended gear can NOT be bought by gold it has to be owned. Only Legendary Weapons can be whaled. BUT - the only difference between legendary gear and ascended gear is the ability to change the stat of the item at will. Say you have a mace that you want power for for a dps spec , but also want to use for a healing spec. You can change that from any spot in the game. Ascended gear, you need materials (that also can't be bought with gold) and a mystic forge in major cities to change the stat. All other legendary gear (armor, trinkets ect) has to be earned. Theres no buying it.

I always wanted a wow version that is not so time consuming. This is the perfect mmo for me. Visual style similar to wow, not that many skills so not hard to master and PVE oriented. I just wish the cosmetics and mounts would be account wide not character bound

I hope they make all role/class weapon available for your chosen class. Sometimes it's really hard to find good tanks. At least while waiting for the season reset, you can build other weapon type you like and make all players versatile when running dg. No tank or healer? I can switch. Need more dps? Switch to ranger or mage.

If I can be honest, I really don't like this season system and it's going to make me quit... I like to see a progression in game, and if I have to restart the professions and such well... I will just quit... I don't like to waste my time, I like to play game that give me some kind of satisfaction for the hard work I put on it... Thanks so much ;D

So let's say you've been playing a game like that for 5 years , Who exactly are you gonna be playing with? certainly not new players, you'll eventually be seeing only your same 10 bozos around in a game like that. Season resets are good for any mmorpg

I agree that the prof reset is overkill, sounds like wasted time on a pointless grind if that resets 3 to 4 times a year 😅 appart from that the other aspects of seasonal content is quite good 👍

@@TheAniki94 prof in this game Is not a grind , you're limited in vigor on what u can do and the prof prog Is closely tied to game content release( you get prof skill points by doing certain raids and dungeons for the first time)

This reset will be a game killer. Some of that progress was helped with real life money. I think most folks will not be ok with this reset. The few that will be, won't be enough to keep the game from dying.

Like you mentioned, this feels more like an expansion mechanic than a seasonal mechanic. With the exception of the profession and inscribed dust reset, everything else is just what happens in other games with expansions, where old gears, gems, etc get surpassed by the most basic gears from the newest "season". Also, as far as whaling for new stuff, how could that happen if at the beggining of the season no one's gonna have maxed professions or have done max difficulty raids to be able to get the best items and sell them on the marketplace? And when people do get them, why would they sell for gold, which has the single purpose of buying the stuff they just sold.

This makes me want to quit the game. To be honest, I had no idea that this game was based on seasons, and it hasn't been good news for me. I agree with everything except the restart of the professions and the skill stone, finding out about this system makes me wonder if it is really worth continuing to play. I'm an old school MMO player and I've never liked reset systems in any game, I buy that they make things easier for new players to catch the veterans, but force us to be at the same level once person who has been playing for 2 or 3 years at the same time as the person who installed the game that same day, it seems like a mistake to me because you don't feel that your character has any weight over time. 😔

Having professions reset really doesn’t seem that bad, nor does having a whole new inscribed stone tree. Neither of these things are paid, resetting the profession will allow for the auction house to balance out again. Idk seems fine to me

chill brother, it only reset the "incribed stone point" and that's make sense because it will cause huge gap among players. What will happen if 1,000,000 vs 500,000 inscribe stone point. With those point both are old player, but that's no way the person who have least can win even he got better skill play. Basically this change is just adding new better weapons armor and stuff like other mmo, isn't it? with new map. Top gear early game will be useless eventually like every mmo too.

Ya this should be the way going forward for mmo. Otherwise you can go play 90% of the mmo on market that forces you to do event at certain timing forces you to do daily stuff and not to mention endless amount of servers. I like the way the game is so casualthat everyone can play catch up and doesn't force to to do anything and allow you to catch up even if you don't play for days

Hey Spid, for me the seasonal system is great, otherwise I think the game would die within half a year. There will always be something to do, and when it's not, you wait a while and go at it again. But I would really like to know what will happen to the gold and gems?

Wow, losing so much progression is a deal-breaker for me. I'm enjoying Tarisland so far but if I lose a lot of my progression and have to do it over and over again I just go back to Guild Wars 2 where all my progress is kept and they don't introduce new gear grind.

I work full time, have kids and take 6 college credits. The game respects your time, it only takes a few hours of total game time to get end game. Zero complaints from me.

It's sad that some aspects of the game just don't work in the Western Market, for example Lost Ark has one of the best combat design and raid design and competed with WoW & FFXIV but sadly it died in the west super fast and soon reaching New World numbers, this game does have some cool stuffs even if its a mobile game but in the other hand some of its systems are big red flags for so many players, I just don't know why those studios don't adapt their western releases to suit a western audience.

PvP is so bad in arena I don't see the game lasting in this state. You can only play a couple hours a day which will be hard for a lot of people that work etc to participate. Balance is terrible. Unlss you are a bard or tank forget it. I have seen them solo half a battleground team so arena is a free win. Maybe nerf tanks in pvp or something I dunno but balance feels awful and I have played every MMO out there over the years.

Its fine but i also enjoy maxing and getting everything. Most likely there is not enougth time to max multiple classes and get achievemnts on them. Its not a good example, but I "liked" OAC not getting any updates. I came back to the game like 1 1/2 years before they took it down and havent played for around 5 years before. In the 1 1/2 years I was able to almost max every class with the gear, transmog and Vanity i wanted. And I cloud have propably played another year to get Zargis gear, SRL Vanitys, Nigel weapon, Spl shirt on 2 chars and the get every epic achievement on main. I like the game getting new stuff so it doesnt feel "boring", but if I finally get max gear with perfekt gems and stuff and than a new update comes and the gear is trash... thats just frustrating and doesnt feel rewarding.

GW2 had seasons. When it first launched if you didn't get the season done by the time it ended, you didn't get all the rewards or get to see all the context. GW2 got allot of backlash. They ended up making seasons playable even after the season was over. By then I was 3 seasons deep of missed class content, so I walked away. I suggest you google GW2 seasons. Google "gw2 seasons" it's a fact :) this video even talks about gw2 seasons.

GW2 have "living seasons" which are only a few more hours of story and a few new zones and content to do. It's not a seasonal thing at all, it's another form of xpac release on top of the real xpacs 😅

You just have to pinch and zoom in or out using your fingers, however do it on your character model and not what’s around him like the scenery.

If they reset the inscribe Im close to done, add the profession after all invest in it Im done, Better stuff to do in season than shit on peoples invest and secondary progress. Imagine the people who invested dollars into the game to boost vigor, sell crystals to buy gems and so on. The casual players with less time will probably feel that this is to much work and the paying people will probably be pissed. 😂 to bad. Sure people who didnt play might join. But how many players will leave is my concern. Alot better ways to do this.
