I have never seen this one before. Thank you so much for sharing and adding subtitles to it. Maybe this is normal for Finns but to me, those questions were so inappropriate. Specially, while she is still trying to wrap her head around it, as you can see on her expression. She handles it like the pro she is. The blunt question about the money then... was cringy as fuck. Anyway, that's just the general lamestream media approach, l guess.. Regardless, this is a good video to show to all those naysayers, that still think Tarja was to blame and that she had it coming, how blindsided they were. Tarja alerted the band, almost a year, in advance about her wanting to go solo and the firing had nothing to do with her being a diva or greedy. It had all to do with her wanting to leave. Pure and simple. It still boggles my mind, the whole debacle. The big EOAE show culminating with the letter and DPP was what Tarja called a play written with her blood. They actually believed that they couldn't survive without her, therefore, plotting a marketing stunt for almost a year to punish her and to ruin her chances of a solo career by painting her as a heartless and cold Diva. Making sure fans would take their side and smearing Tarja's perfect image for years to come. And it worked and it still fascinates me, how Machiavellian this all was... Selling the drama made them über popular. They even had the president talking about the firing! Once, DPP and EOAE are, to this day, their best selling works. They surely know their business. While being disgusted at their actions, I still take my hat off to them. After 16 years and new fans finding about her and Nightwish, every single day, this drama will never be buried. So, these testimonies are good, good for all the newcomers to have both sides of the story out there, in order, to draw their conclusions.

@UC4lssESgDk9a-YaxZl17U8A I think she would. She was stuck in there as only Tuomas composes. If you see how different her music is from his... there was no room for both of them. It is a shame that they did it in such a way though. If it was in good terms, they could have had special guest shows many times to come to celebrate their history.

Tarja came off worse in the end though. She never got the song writing quality she needed after she parted from Tuomas. Because she is so brilliant and unique, this is what she needed in order to gain the global recognition she should have achieved (but didn't) after 2005.

old interviews, if you watch carefully, Tuo was so happy and complete, peaceful, self-fulfilled, when she was near... the way she talked and he was watching always at her, not into the camera... and many people even dare to talk about this drama as money related... Never the money, NEVER, i won't believe that ever, no adequate amount of money issue can cause such a tragedy, she hurt him rejecting his true feelings, he - while feeling betrayed - hurt her... this was not supposed to happen, they should have been happy together... and we would still have giants of the genre on the throne, unbeatable, unshakeable... together they were 150%, apart they are only 75...

It was both parties responsible - what we call six of one half a dozen of the other. And of course money was involved. It always is in such bust ups. Her Argentinian Husband was also influential in the bust up.

Nightwish however continued to excell with first Annette and then Floor, both of them brilliant but unable to emulate Tarja's Operatic Metal Vocals, a technique that basically SHE invented. And since copied by the next generation of Front Female Metal Vocalists, some of them very gifted too.
