The "no trader" events last wipe really emphasized to me the importance of ammo availability. So I tend to work backwards - what's the best ammo I can buy from traders (or possibly craft) then what I'll look at what guns I can get (either from traders or from the flea market).

This is my first wipe back after about 3 years. Someone suggested going interchange for the first few raids since everyone will be customs. In my first 2 interchange raids, I found 2 RFBs in some black weapons boxes. I've been using them ever since for those heavy lifting raids with the free M80 ammo you get with your free m700. I figure I stumbled upon some secret weapon meta. I win every fight I get into with this weapon. Hands down my favorite go to right now at level 19. Closely followed by the .366 VPO with a few mods.

I’m convinced they’re just trying to stop people from immediately gravitating towards western weapons. PS got buffed and is now good enough to deal with virtually all early and mid game armor but M80 is somehow so OP that it needs to be PK lvl3? It wasn’t that long ago that it was PK lvl 1.

Can’t believe you left out the MCX! BCP FMJ is at Skier LL2 and has 30pen/60dmg. Buy the gun off flea for ~50k (T-LOK usually included) and the suppressor for ~40k. Can even buy the hand guard rails at Skier LL2 for easy modding

People seem to be going nuts over ps gzh being buffed this wipe, but at the same time, you’re writing it off completely because the guns have too much recoil. I think it’s in a great spot as is being a dmr style rather than full auto, since, as you point out, so many other mid tier options easily outclass its recoil. Great video!

I be using an ak74n with pp ammo. My ll2 build is pt1, dtk1, b10m, with the 25mm flashlight and an rk4, and a us palm looking pistol grip. Amazing build honestly.

Mini mosin is great as it is relatively cheap and the rail piece in it is quest locked by jeager. You can also throw the multi caliber suppressor on it of ir feeling a lil goofy

Something that needs to be brought in is western ammo packages. I understand that 9x19 and 5.56 can be found occasionally, but nowhere near as much as eastern 9x18, 7.62x39, 5.45x39, and even 7.62x54r and 9x21. there's no point in using weapons you can't feed, I dont see why you should be basically softlocked to different flavors of AK until you grind through quests.

They will probably get to this eventually. There's so much they've confirmed years ago that hasn't even made it in the game yet, and things we've known about for even longer, like anti-personnel mines and LMGs and HMGs coming to the game. I just recently looked back at when I started playing in May of 2019, and the game has come a really long ways with gun/ammo and armor variety. We'll get there brother!

@@sgt.squeegee1720 Plus, they're likely to buff certain 5.56 rounds based on player feedback, much like they did this wipe with 5.45 One thing I've been seeing a lot on reddit, twitter, youtube, etc. (and there's no doubt some of the devs or even Nikita himself has seen some of these comments) is to rearrange ammo values. Make the 5.56 FMJ have the stats of what 855 has now and buff 855 to be an near/slightly under 856a1 in terms of damage and pen. It'll be like how 5.45 PP is to 5.45 BP. Slightly worse, but available at an earlier time and a tad bit cheaper.

Like green tracer 9mm is mostly aesthetic only, it hardly does much. Would be cool to have some sort of use because even I gravitate towards certain ammo types. Overall just need more ammo variety use.

There's only two AP rounds (only one of which is consistently available, and that's only once you get PK lvl 3) and they're both ludicrously expensive while having the stats of cheaper AP rounds that are far easier to obtain consistently. And it's made all the worse by some SMGs still having more recoil than they should (MP9 and PP-19, respectively)

its kind of bitter how the barter trades (as well as the hideout) were designed around making loose loot useful at some point no matter what it was but it all revolves around how much theyre going for on the flea market. it just accelerates the progression to class4/5 and meta weapons. i kind of think the flea has done more harm than good, and it hasn't really done that much good other than making things more convenient

They have quelled a lot of the chad issues regarding the flea market, and they even tested having it at level 20 instead of 15 in the past. I think they've done a good job so far as I've done so much better this wipe than last. I think they will find a way to balance it eventually.

3:30 this is why I don't play tarkov often, how does it take 3 7.62 rounds to the head to drop that guy. I don't boot up tarkov to get Battlefield gaminess, I want a fairly realistic shooter, which is exactly what the game is marketed as. The sad part, is that you can't ever really tell if it's lag, or the contrived health and armor system to blame in moments like this. What the fuck is the point of looking at spreadsheets, crafting, and arranging ammo in your mags, if COD shit like that is going to happen anyway. Kills my will to play this game, and I put 1,500 hours into my first wipe, let alone the following wipes. I'll maybe play 20 or 30 hours with friends this time. Very disappointing.
