Taro the gorilla lives at the Japan Monkey Center in Inuyama, Aichi, Japan.
Taro was born in 1973 at the Nuremberg Zoo in Germany. Since coming to the Japan Monkey Center at the age of fifteen, he has been a popular and familiar figure.
