I did not fly with tarom, but i did fly romania's other airline which is extinct now. Blue Air was the 2nd biggest airline in the country, and the service on their flights was really good.

I flew last week to London with dan air new romaina airline very good got free sandwiches, cakes and drinks very nice crew the only thing was it when via brasov so took 4 hour there was only 6 people on the frist form Bucharest

Turbulence really hits different on those tarom atrs, I avoid them at all cost whenever I have to travel within Romania

Flew TAROM from London to Bucharest. The ticket on British was 3 times more!! So I flew TAROM. They even served a tiny hot meal. British you pay. That was 6 years ago. You said you pay now. Crews were very reserved. The only negative was that the toilet seat was so old it was yellow. They used to fly to New York. Otherwise everything was fine.

The only reason why Tarom is considered the "flag carrier" is because they are the only ones left on the market now that Blue Air is bankrupt. Otherwise nothing else except maybe for historical reasons, would qualify them for this title. With a tiny aging fleet, no long haul flights, they are not that different from a budget airliner .I only flew Tarom twice and it was not at all a pleasant experience. In one of the flights I guess the pilot approached the landing with a higher speed than he should and he had to use the hard break(literally the seat heads moved when he did it). The second flight was eventless but the service was average. Also ,while onboard, you do feel the age of their fleet.

You cannot land with a high speed, because the plane won't land. I guess the reason for the hard braking was the will to exit the runway on a certain taxiway, thus reducing the taxi time.

I flew with them in 1999 from Rome to Bucharest and back to Rome, and in 2003, Vienna to TM… back then they would have food, give you little Romanian wine bottles. Shame to see how crap they’ve become.

What you expectation for 45 min flight ? If the aircraft is clean then this is most important ! I don’t look any reviews on line as people only put when is negative experience hardly when is positive ! For me Tarom is just standard euro Arline

You can take the same flight with Turkish Airlines for almost the same price and the overall experience would be significantly better.

@@nycflyertravel Sure definitely ! I had very negative experience with Turkish Arline ! They cancel my flight from Morocco to Warsaw without notification ! No explosion ! It was so difficult to contact them as phone centre is in Maldive so have to buy extra ticket ! I receive apology letter but never get refund of money ! This not mean I would never fly with them ! I will ! But just tell you negative experience can happen in any Arline 😁

@@EA00000 I think overall, my review was positive. At the end, I mentioned that I would fly with TAROM again even though my second flight was delayed and the cabin on the 737 was old / a little uncomfortable.

@@nycflyertravel Yes absolutely 👌 You were absolutely correct ! All Europe Arline’s is similar on short flight 😁 Try next time Polish Lot will be interesting what your opinion ! Myself for long distance flight I chose Emirates Qatar Singapore Finnair or Swiss Arline
